MobiFone launched a promotional program with up to 10,000 mobile phones for subscribers upgrading from 2G to 4G.

Sharing at the "Turn off 2G waves to bring people to the digital environment" discussion organized by the Information Technology Journalists Club in coordination with the Ministry of Information and Communications on December 5, 2023, a representative of MobiFone said: "Turn off 2G waves is consistent with the viewpoint of optimal harmony for businesses while still ensuring customer rights". MobiFone has gradually turned off 2G only subscribers in low-access areas, and at the same time proposed a plan to assess the impact on people, implementing a specific roadmap to completely cut off 2G subscribers. The network supports people to switch to 4G Accompanying customers in the process of upgrading mobile technology, MobiFone network has recently launched many attractive programs such as giving away data packages, giving away voice packages, free 4G SIM exchange... In particular, the network has deployed nationwide a program to give away free 4G phones, offering incentives for customers to buy 4G phones for just over 300,000 VND. 
Specifically, subscribers using 2G phones when registering for MobiFone's 12CD70 package will receive a free Masstel izi S1 phone worth 335,000 VND. The free phone giveaway program takes place nationwide with a quantity of up to 10,000 units, from July 1 to September 30 or until the above quantity is exhausted. In addition, the network also offers customers who need to use 4G Feature phones a preferential purchase of a Masstel izi S1 phone for only 335,000 VND/unit; a Masstel izi T2 phone for 395,000 VND/unit. The above prices include value added tax. Customers can enjoy the promotion from June 25 to September 3, 2024.
