Ho Chi Minh City sets ceilings for fees and service fees in public schools, in addition to tuition fees.
On July 12, the 10th Ho Chi Minh City People's Council passed a resolution regulating service fees and charges in public educational institutions for the 2023-2024 school year.
This is the first time Ho Chi Minh City has issued a framework for service fees to make public and transparent the revenue and expenditure in schools. Parents will know to monitor and avoid overcharging.
The 26 revenues are divided into 4 main groups: Revenue for after-school educational activities; Revenue for educational activities according to approved projects; Revenue for boarding services; Revenue for individual student support.
