(NLDO) - On March 18, the Military Admissions Board, Ministry of National Defense announced the enrollment quota of 20 military schools, a decrease of nearly 1,000 quotas compared to last year.
This year's enrollment season, the Political Officer School recruited the most: 766, an increase of 20 quotas compared to last year. The Air Defense - Air Force Academy and the Special Forces Officer School basically kept their enrollment quotas stable. Meanwhile, the remaining military schools all decreased.
In 2025, military schools will recruit nearly 4,400 university and college students.
According to Colonel Do Thanh Tam, Secretary of the Military Admissions Board, Ministry of National Defense, in addition to the military system, the military school block is recruiting civilians again after a 6-year hiatus, with about 3,500 quotas.
Schools will continue to consider admission using 7 groups, including A00 (Math, Physics, Chemistry), A01 (Math, Physics, English), B00 (Math, Chemistry, Biology), C00 (Literature, History, Geography), D01 (Math, Literature, English), D02 (Math, Literature, Russian), D04 (Math, Literature, Chinese), depending on the school. After the Ministry of Education and Training announces the admission regulations, schools can expand the admission groups, giving priority to English.
Admission methods are expected to remain stable as last year, including: Direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training; based on the capacity assessment test scores organized by two national universities; high school graduation exam scores; and review of academic records.
Candidates applying for the military system must pass a preliminary selection, expected from March 25 to May 20. If they meet the standards of background, culture, health and age, they will be eligible to register.
