The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health has just reported on two illegal cosmetic facilities in District 1 and Thu Duc that caused complications for customers.

Violations in District 1
The first case occurred at Kim An Beauty Salon Company Limited (148C Tran Quang Khai, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City) with Mr. LNKN as director.
According to the Department of Health, on the afternoon of October 22, the patient arrived at this facility and was received by a BTL staff member (an 8th grader with no medical degree). After measuring the patient's fat level, the staff advised the patient to undergo liposuction surgery for 30 million VND (the patient had already paid 17 million VND).
At the same time, prescribe a quick blood sugar test, a quick HIV test, a Quick urine test and have LTTN staff (also without a medical degree) perform the tests and read the test results.
However, after Mr. D. had liposuction surgery, the patient showed signs of drowsiness and slow communication, and his family had to quickly call the Tan Dinh Ward Police (District 1).
The inspection team asked Mr. N. to provide the professional qualifications and practice licenses of Mr. D. and the team that performed liposuction on the patient, but Mr. N. could only provide a phone number. When calling, Mr. D. did not answer the phone.
The District 1 Police Investigation Team worked with the individuals involved. The Department of Health requested Mr. D. and the liposuction team to work at the District 1 People's Committee to clarify the violations.

The second case was recorded through a quick report from Thu Duc Regional General Hospital about a cosmetic surgery accident on October 21.
The patient showed abnormal health symptoms after using services at a beauty facility called "MIN Beauty Academy" (50C Street 385, Tang Nhon Phu A Ward, Thu Duc City).
Through information search, the above address has not been licensed by the Department of Health to operate medical examination and treatment (illegal operation). The Department of Health Inspectorate coordinated with the Thu Duc Health Department to inspect the facility.
At the time of inspection, the facility was closed, no one inside, no sign outside, and a sign reading "MIN beauty" inside the locked door.
Through information review, at this address there is a certificate of Min Beauty Academy Business Household, issued by the Department of Economics - Planning and Investment - Thu Duc City People's Committee to Ms. D.TTH.
The "victim" of this facility said through the Facebook page of the facility "MIN Beauty Academy" and an acquaintance's introduction, the patient went to the facility MIN Beauty Academy to have a nose job performed by Ms. D.TTH.
After surgery, the patient had difficulty breathing and was transferred to Le Van Viet Hospital for emergency care, then transferred to Thu Duc Regional General Hospital.
The Health Department Inspector invited the business owner to work, but Ms. H. did not come to work as scheduled, showing signs of evasion.
Illegal cosmetic surgery, serious consequences
Faced with the reality of illegal cosmetic practice, causing serious consequences to people's health, signs of assault, avoidance, and escape when causing complications for customers at "underground" establishments, the Department of Health will transfer the case file to the City Police to investigate, clarify and strictly handle according to the law.
