In the context of the impact of the global economy in 2023 and the challenging domestic life insurance market, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam is one of the few life insurance companies with an estimated after-tax profit of nearly VND 2,600 billion, total insurance premium revenue in 2023 is estimated at VND 19,550 billion, increasing its market share of total insurance premium revenue to 12.6%.

As of December 31, 2023, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam's total assets reached VND 66,000 billion, an increase of 14% compared to 2022, maintaining its position in the Top 3 largest foreign life insurance companies with leading business efficiency in Vietnam, creating jobs and stable income for more than 2,000 employees and 110,000 Financial Consultants nationwide.

Dai-ichi Life Vietnam is currently honored to serve 4.7 million customers with over 1.3 million effective insurance contracts and is expected to welcome the milestone of over 5 million customers in 2024.

Enhance customer experience

With the business philosophy of "Customer First", 2023 marks the company's progress with a strategy to promote technology, invest in developing a digital ecosystem through the application of artificial intelligence (AI) and automate insurance business processes throughout, shorten processing time, improve service and product quality with the goal of optimizing customer experience.

These include modern and convenient applications for customers and sales teams such as: Dai-ichi Connect, E-App, Dai-ichi Success; and "virtual assistants" such as Voicebot 24/7 and Chatbot 24/7... In 2023 alone, 262,000 customers downloaded the Dai-ichi Connect application for the first time, bringing the total number of users to 820,000 customers to date.

In 2023, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam will launch the Dai-ichi ON online insurance sales platform to diversify distribution channels, helping customers proactively choose life insurance and health protection solutions with just a few quick online steps.

At the same time, the company also invests heavily in technology infrastructure with online solutions such as eClaims, ePOS, ePolicy, ePayment..., continuing to promote the development of the Digital Financial Ecosystem with banking partners.

These “digital tools” not only help deliver the best experiences to customers, partners, employees and Financial Advisors, but also contribute to reducing environmental impact through reduced use of paper and other resources.

In addition, at the end of November 2023, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam also officially signed a cooperation agreement with Garmin to develop the Health and Happiness Ecosystem, providing technology-based health care services through the Dai-ichi Connect application.

In addition to its efforts for sustainable growth, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam is always committed to fulfilling its corporate social responsibility, pioneering many meaningful community support projects and initiatives with a total contribution of over VND 67 billion, across four areas: education, healthcare, environment and social charity over the past 17 years.

With impressive achievements and effective contributions to the economy, in 2023, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam was honored to receive 11 prestigious awards and titles from prestigious domestic and foreign organizations.

These include the 2023 Asia Pacific Enterprise Awards for two categories: “Corporate Excellence Award” and “Inspirational Brand Award” for three consecutive years (2021 - 2023); the title of Top 2 in “Top 10 Prestigious Life Insurance Companies” for two consecutive years (2022 - 2023); the title of “Top 50 Excellent Profit Enterprises in Vietnam in 2023”...

In particular, on November 28, 2023, Dai-ichi Life Vietnam was honored to receive a Certificate from the European Union Delegation to Vietnam to honor the company's meaningful contributions to environmental protection and promoting sustainable green growth.
