MediaTek has just launched a new mobile processor designed to enhance AI processing power right on the phone. The chip can handle both AI content creation and AI complex task execution without relying on cloud computing, helping to increase response speed and protect personal data.

Inside is an all-core high-performance architecture, with an Arm Cortex-X925 main processor clocked at up to 3.73GHz, accompanied by three Cortex-X4 cores and four Cortex-A720 cores. This helps the phone run smoothly even when handling heavy tasks or running multiple applications at the same time. The chip also has a dedicated AI processor, which can support advanced AI techniques such as content creation, language understanding and user behavior prediction.

“We want to make mobile devices smarter, more responsive and deliver better personalized experiences to users, while keeping data safe by processing it directly on the device,” said JC Hsu , Senior Vice President at MediaTek.

In terms of graphics capabilities, the chip is equipped with a 12-core GPU for smoother gaming, more beautiful and realistic images. In addition, the chip also supports high-speed Wi-Fi, longer Bluetooth connections and faster satellite positioning.

Phones using this processor are expected to hit the market this month, promising to expand options for those who need a smartphone that is strong in AI while still saving battery life.
