The People's Committee of Da Nang City has just issued Decision 2877/QD-UBND to accept the project "Enabling women in Central Vietnam to improve their lives and protect the environment and natural resources through the application of green and circular economy in Da Nang City". The project is funded by the Delegation of the European Union to Vietnam with a total value of over 18 billion VND, equivalent to 673,137.10 EUR.
The project will be implemented in Hoa Bac commune (Hoa Vang district) and Tho Quang ward (Son Tra district, Da Nang city), from January 2025 to December 2028. The project aims to enhance women's capacity through the application of green and circular economy to contribute to economic improvement, environmental protection and natural resources. The project includes the following main activities: capacity building for women on green and circular economy and the approach of internal strength-based community development (ABCD).

Specifically, the project will support 115 women in Hoa Bac commune to have stable jobs, increase income by 30% through production and business activities in the direction of green and circular economy; support 50 women in Tho Quang ward to have stable jobs, increase income by at least 30% through connecting with businesses, expanding the market to promote and consume products in the direction of green and circular economy.
In addition, the project also communicates to raise awareness so that 70% of people in Hoa Bac commune and Tho Quang ward understand about green and circular economy; green and circular economy is integrated into the annual socio-economic development plan of the commune and ward to contribute to protecting natural resources and biodiversity.
At the same time, establish a fund at the commune and ward levels managed by the Women's Union and raise about 1.5 billion VND to support livelihoods in the direction of green economy and circulation for the project implementation area.
Also through the project, 165 women from Hoa Bac commune and Tho Quang ward were trained in green and circular economy; 60 women were trained in the Internally Based Community Development Method (ABCD Method) to improve business and production capacity towards green, circular and sustainable economy; 115 women from Hoa Bac commune have stable jobs, increasing their income by 30% through production and business activities towards green, circular economy.
In addition, the project helps 50 women in Tho Quang ward have stable jobs, increasing their income by 30% through production and business activities in the direction of green and circular economy; 70% of people in Hoa Bac commune and Tho Quang ward understand green and circular economy, green and circular economy is integrated into the annual socio-economic development plan of the commune and ward to contribute to protecting the environment, natural resources and biodiversity.
