12 noon today, March 28, the new Cau Lau bridge opens to traffic

Specifically, starting from 12 noon today, March 28, all types of vehicles are allowed to pass through the new Cau Lau bridge at km953+340/QL.1 normally.

Previously, on March 5, 2025, Road Management Area III issued Document No. 366 announcing the ban on automobiles passing through the new Cau Lau Bridge. At the same time, a traffic diversion plan was implemented during the construction and repair of the new Cau Lau Bridge at km953+340 (phase 2) from 8:00 a.m. on March 15, 2025 to 4:00 p.m. on March 30, 2025.

Cau Lau Bridge was newly built and put into operation in 2005, located on Vinh Dien bypass (Dien Ban town). Over time, some damage has appeared affecting the bearing capacity of the span structure.

Therefore, Road Management Area III has implemented the project of Emergency Repair to ensure traffic safety of the new Cau Lau Bridge. Meanwhile, the old Cau Lau Bridge is also under repair, so all vehicles are prohibited from crossing the bridge.

Up to now, the construction and repair of the new Cau Lau bridge (phase 2) has completed the main items according to the approved design documents and ensured safe and smooth traffic.

Road Management Area III requests the construction unit to coordinate with relevant units to remove the installed road sign system (to serve traffic flow organization) so that vehicles can circulate normally at 12 noon today.
