Rubber price today April 12, 2025: Sharp drop in Thailand

On the Tokyo Commodity Exchange (Tocom), RSS3 rubber prices were almost stable across all terms. Specifically, the April 2025 contract stood at 341 yen/kg, the May and June terms fluctuated around 341–342 yen/kg, while the July and August terms recorded 344.10 yen/kg.

In Thailand, the rubber market fell sharply. The April futures contract price fell from 75.6 baht/kg to 72.47 baht/kg, a decrease of 3.13 baht/kg on the day.

In the Shanghai market, the price of natural rubber on the SHFE was almost unchanged. The contract for delivery in April 2025 was kept at 16,640 yuan/kg, while the contracts for delivery in May to August increased slightly to 16,680 to 16,815 yuan/kg.

In Singapore, the price of TSR20 rubber on the SGX recorded a simultaneous increase in all terms. The May 2025 contract increased from 164 to 168.20 cents/kg. The terms from June to September also increased to around 168.8 - 169.4 cents/kg.

At Mang Yang Rubber Company, the purchase price of grade 1 latex is currently at 447 VND/TSC/kg. Grade 2 latex is purchased at 443 VND/TSC/kg. Grade 1 mixed latex is traded at 461 VND/DRC/kg, while grade 2 has a lower price, at 406 VND/DRC/kg.

Phu Rieng Rubber Company maintains the price of latex at 440 VND/TSC/kg and the price of mixed latex at 400 VND/DRC/kg. This is a stable price compared to before, reflecting little fluctuation in the purchasing activities of this enterprise.

At Ba Ria Rubber Company, latex prices are divided according to TSC levels. Specifically, latex with TSC levels of 30 or higher is purchased at 452 VND/kg. The price of 447 VND/kg is applied to latex with TSC levels from 25 to under 30. For latex with TSC levels from 20 to under 25, the purchase price is 442 VND/kg.

For mixed latex, the price also changes according to the DRC level. Cup latex or coagulated latex with a DRC level of 50% or more is purchased at VND18,000/kg. If the DRC level is between 45-50%, the price is VND16,700/kg. The remaining latex with a DRC level of 35-45% is purchased at VND13,500/kg.

Binh Long Rubber Company continues to maintain the same price as the previous days. The purchase price of latex fluctuates from 386 to 396 VND/TSC/kg. Mixed latex with 60% DRC is purchased at 14,000 VND/kg. The price has not fluctuated much, showing that the market here is quite stable at the present time.
