Convert Duy Tan University to Duy Tan University
At the 30th Anniversary Ceremony of Duy Tan University (November 11, 1994 - November 11, 2024), authorized by the Prime Minister, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son presented the decision to convert Duy Tan University into Duy Tan University on November 10, 2024.
Currently, Duy Tan University is one of nine universities in Vietnam and is also the first (and only) non-public higher education institution in Vietnam to be transformed into a university. Minister Nguyen Kim Son congratulated Duy Tan University on its development journey with many contributions to human resource training for the whole country. The establishment and development of Duy Tan University has contributed to changing the public-private structure in the university system, changing the face of higher education, creating many jobs for scientists and learning opportunities for many students, contributing to the cause of innovation in education and training of the country.

Duy Tan University ranked 495th in the World's Best Universities according to QS World University Rankings 2025
Duy Tan University is present in many world rankings with high positions, specifically in the QS World University Rankings 2025, Duy Tan University is ranked 495th in the world (up from 514th in the world in 2024). The school is also in the Top 100+ (127th in Asia) and 26th in Southeast Asia according to QS Asia University Rankings 2025.
In the Times Higher Education (THE) 2025 rankings, Duy Tan University is in the Top 600+ Best Universities in the World. Most recently, Times Higher Education (THE) also announced the Online Learning Rankings 2024. Out of a total of 56 universities ranked worldwide with Gold, Silver and Bronze awards, Vietnam has only Duy Tan University in this ranking with a Bronze award for Online Learning. Also in 2024, the Study Abroad Aide (SAA) University Database team announced the World Best Value University Rankings 2024 for International Students. Vietnam has 72 universities in this ranking and Duy Tan University is in the Top 7% of the world.

Vietnam was chosen to host the world's leading conference on Mathematical Physics - ICMP 2027 at Duy Tan University
On July 6, 2024, the International Association of Mathematical Physics (IAMP) officially selected Duy Tan University in Vietnam as the venue for the International Congress of Mathematical Physics (ICMP) to take place in 2027. This is the most important event of the world's Mathematical Physics community, held every 3 years with the participation of many prestigious scientists, including many scientists who have received Nobel Prizes, Fields Prizes, etc.
Duy Tan University is considered to ensure high quality for the ICMP Conference to take place successfully with many necessary and sufficient conditions, including the fact that Duy Tan University has been a prestigious location chosen by many agencies, units and governmental and non-governmental organizations (for example: UNWTO, SEAMEO, Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, P2A, ...) to organize international events, ceremonies, conferences and seminars.

For the first time, the largest SAP Conference in Asia was held in Vietnam and at Duy Tan University.
The SAP Asia-Pacific-Japan (APJ) Academic Community Conference 2024 officially took place at Duy Tan University, Vietnam from July 8-12, 2024. This is the largest annual SAP ERP Conference in Asia, connecting experts, researchers and lecturers from around the world to share methods, methods and best ideas for integrating SAP software into teaching, training and education activities. More than 150 delegates, including professors, doctors, experts, university lecturers, and researchers from prestigious universities around the world such as: University of Melbourne (Australia), Victoria University (Australia), University of Sydney (Australia), Tsinghua University (China), National University of Singapore (NUS), Duy Tan University, etc., participated in seminars and discussions on topics such as Sustainability and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in business, to explore the best teaching methods together. Also in the SAP ERPsim Student Competition 2024 (SAP ERPsim) - VIETNAM 2024, Duy Tan students won the SAP ERPsim Champion title with excellent results and performance when running a business in an ERP virtual environment. With this achievement, Duy Tan University students will officially represent Vietnam to attend SAP ERPsim Asia-Pacific 2025.

Duy Tan University scientists continue to hold very high positions in the 2024 Vietnamese and world scientist rankings, according to Research.com:
* Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Quoc Tinh is ranked 3rd in Vietnam and 462nd in the world in the field of Mechanical Engineering & Aerospace.
* Dr. Anand Nayyar is ranked 2nd in Vietnam and 6,968th in the world in the field of Computer Science,
* Dr. Tran Nguyen Hai ranked 2nd in Vietnam and 4,904 in the world in the field of Environment.
* Dr. Hoang Nhat Duc is ranked 4th in Vietnam and 7,892nd in the world in the field of Computer Science.
In the Best Rising Stars of Science in the World 2024 Ranking, 2 out of 4 Vietnamese scientists from Duy Tan University were recognized:
* Dr. Tran Nguyen Hai , ranked 553, and

Duy Tan University scientist meets standards for title of Professor of Physics, forming a strong research group
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quang Hung - Director of the Institute for Fundamental and Applied Science Research (IFAS), Duy Tan University is one of 45 Professors officially recognized by the State Council of Professors as qualified in 2024. Starting to pursue the research direction of the Theory of Structure of Excited Nuclei (Hot Nuclei) from the doctoral and postdoctoral stages, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Hung has opened up many useful in-depth research directions in the field of Nuclear Physics as well as future research directions in archaeology.
Currently, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Hung is leading a strong research group project on " Research on structural defects and denaturation of nanomaterials by nuclear methods " of the NAFOSTED Fund in the period of 2024-2028, before that was "Developing a unified and microscopic theoretical model for describing nuclear structures at zero temperature, non-zero temperature and angular moment, taking into account the exact solution of the coupling problem " in the period of 2020-2023. He is currently co-leading a project on " Research on the dating of ancient architectures at the special national relic site of Oc Eo - Ba The: Contributing to enhancing historical values and relic conservation " funded by the VinIF Fund.

The year 2024 witnessed the victory of Duy Tan students with many top awards in intellectual "arenas", typically:
* Special Prize, First Prize, Second Prize, and Creative Idea Prize at the National “ROBOG 2024” Competition and the team that won the highest prize has officially become the representative of Vietnam to participate in the World Finals which will take place in February 2025 in China.
* First Prize of the Science and Technology Innovation Competition "Innovation Tech Challenge 2024" organized by Samsung Vietnam in collaboration with the Successful Youth Organization in 2024. This is the second time that Duy Tan University students have won the highest prize of this competition, when in 2023, the University's students also won both First and Second prizes.
* First Prize of ASEAN Green Entrepreneurship Hackathon 2024 - ASEAN Green Startup Hackathon 2024 with the product "Active Prosthetic Leg" with affordable price but high quality, suitable for the requirements of Vietnamese people with disabilities.
* First Prize in the Open Source Software category in the 33rd Vietnam Student Informatics Olympiad .
* Second Prize - also the highest award given to the Engineering - Technology Block, directly scored by the Vietnam Construction Association at the Loa Thanh Award 2024 .
* 1 All-around prize, 1 Second prize and 4 Third prizes in various competitions of the 14th National Architecture Student Festival , 2024.
* First and Second Prizes in the field of Game Graphic Design at the "National Game Programming and Graphic Design Talent Search 2024" Contest.
* Award "Applying Innovative Technology" with the 3D Game Environment Design project " Extrusion: A Cardinal Sin Tale " at the National Scientific Conference on "Applied Fine Arts Training in the Context of Cultural Industry Development" held on September 12, 2024 at Hanoi University of Architecture.
* First Prize "Technology topics and solutions in Processing" at the Final Round of the "Post-Harvest Processing Technology" Competition 2024 with the product " Artistic blooming tea from Blue Water Lily ".

Troy University sets up Representative Office at Duy Tan University
Marking 10 years of effective cooperation in implementing Troy University's On-site Study Abroad Program to obtain an American degree in the American Degree Program (ADP), on November 10, 2024, Troy University officially established a Representative Office at Duy Tan University, No. 3 Quang Trung, Da Nang City. The ADP program has been implemented at Duy Tan University since 2014 with the goal of bringing high-quality, international university education programs to Vietnamese students right in Da Nang. Currently, the program has 3 training majors, including:
* Computer Science,
* Business Administration – Management, and
* Hospitality Management.
Students study according to the original curriculum of Troy University under the direct instruction of professors from Troy University and many other experienced international lecturers in Vietnam. Students have 2 learning paths including:
* Study full-time for 4 years at Duy Tan University (Vietnam), and
* Transfer to study and graduate at Troy University (USA) from the 2nd year onwards when meeting all the requirements during the initial study process at Duy Tan University.

Launch of “Smart Automotive Technical Training Simulator” and Commercialization of eCPR Products for the Community
On September 26, 2024, Duy Tan University launched a scientific and technological product: " Comprehensive Simulation and Interaction in Smart Automotive Engineering Training ". This is the result of a scientific and technological research project of the Center for Simulation & Modeling (CVS), Duy Tan University. The product is designed to help students, instead of just learning theory, practice directly on simulation technology and comprehensive interaction to acquire technical and mechanical knowledge of automobiles.
Duy Tan University has also received the first order of 10 eCPR machines - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Training Support Machines and officially handed them over to the Wellbeing Health Education Organization on March 7, 2024. The eCPR machine, researched and manufactured by Duy Tan University, combines hardware and software, integrating IoT technology and virtual reality, creating a special training system for learning and practicing CPR skills. Duy Tan University has also donated an eCPR machine to Tran Phu High School to help students improve their first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills for the community. The eCPR machine manufactured by Duy Tan University has been granted a Patent by the Intellectual Property Office and has received attention and application from many units operating in the fields of first aid and medical training.

Many activities to strengthen the relationship between the Army and the People with Brigade 146, the unit protecting Truong Sa Islands
On November 9, 2024, Brigade 146 of Naval Region 4 and Duy Tan University officially became twin units to share and accompany each other in many upcoming activities. This is a special milestone, affirming the determination to strengthen the military-civilian solidarity of the two units towards the homeland's sea and islands, while at the same time deeply inspiring love for the Fatherland, fighting together to prevent ideological and moral degradation, prevent social evils and care for families with preferential policies, students with difficult circumstances, etc. Previously, Duy Tan University visited and presented gifts to officers and soldiers of Brigade 146 on the occasion of the Lunar New Year every year.
In the charity work in 2024, Duy Tan University visited and donated 100 million VND to the staff, lecturers and students of Thai Nguyen University affected by storm No. 3.
