1. Mobilizing the strength of national solidarity to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic
When the COVID-19 pandemic broke out in the province (in 2020 and 2021), the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and member organizations, especially the residential front working committees, played a core role in promoting propaganda and mobilizing union members, association members and people from all walks of life to actively participate in epidemic prevention and control.
Actively mobilize social resources to support more than 110 billion VND in funding and necessities, medical supplies... to support frontline forces and people; launch a "mutual love" movement calling on people in localities in the province to actively support 615 tons of food, vegetables, tubers, fruits... to directly support people and fellow countrymen of Quang Nam in Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang...
2. Social monitoring and criticism activities increase in quantity and improve in quality.
Social supervision and criticism activities have been increasingly implemented closely and effectively, continuing to be outstanding activities of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations of the province in the past term.
With the motto "Proactive - Specific - Strict - Quality", in the past 5 years, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province have proactively selected content and subjects and chaired the organization of 2,451 thematic supervision sessions; 1,085 social criticism sessions.
After monitoring and social criticism, 3,329 petitions were issued to Party committees, authorities and relevant agencies to study, receive, resolve and respond in writing according to regulations.
3. Mobilizing resources to care for social security and eliminate temporary housing
Responding to the emulation movement "Quang Nam joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind", from 2019 to June 2024, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and member organizations in the province assigned to help 15,029 poor and near-poor households who are members, union members and people to escape poverty. The Fund for the Poor at all levels mobilized more than 181.5 billion VND.
From mobilized resources, the Fatherland Front at all levels has focused on supporting the construction and repair of 8,482 houses for poor, near-poor households, and households with special housing difficulties. Of which, the provincial level supported the construction and repair of 5,389 houses.
4. Participate in the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels, term 2021 - 2026
Pursuant to the provisions of the law on elections, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels proactively participated in successfully organizing the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 term with a voter turnout of 99.94%; chaired negotiations and introduced personnel to ensure standards and composition for the Provincial People's Council and District People's Councils to elect people's assessors at the same level with a total of 339 people's assessors; actively coordinated to innovate the content and form of organization and improve the quality of voter contact activities with National Assembly deputies in the direction of diversifying subjects and localities and increasing thematic voter contact...
5. Applying digital transformation in Front work
At the end of March 2023, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee put into operation an online video conferencing system with a total investment of more than 18.5 billion VND. The system has 20 connecting points including 1 main connecting point at the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, 18 connecting points at the District Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and 1 point at the provincial data center.
The system allows connection with the online video conferencing system of the Party bloc, the People's Committee and connects to the central agency. Currently, the Front at all levels operates reasonably and effectively the Fanpage community page, Zalo group... of the Front at all levels. The operation and handling of work via Q-office is timely and smooth.
6. Strengthening ties and cooperation with the Sekong Provincial Front (Laos)
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province established a cooperative relationship with the Lao Front Committee for National Construction of Sekong province. Organized an assessment of the results of 5 years of implementing the Memorandum of Cooperation for the period 2016 - 2021, signed the period 2022 - 2027; supported office equipment, training, and fostering cadres of the Lao Front Committee for National Construction of Sekong province; supported Sekong province with 381 million VND to prevent the COVID-19 epidemic, gave more than 300 gifts to Lao students studying in Quang Nam; periodically held annual talks between the two sides.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees of border localities in Quang Nam province regularly maintain and strengthen twinning activities with 35 villages of Nam Giang and Tay Giang districts and 16 villages of Dac Chung and Ka Lum districts of Se Kong province.
7. Impressions of Religious Arts Festival
First held in 2016, by 2023, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province presided over and coordinated with religious organizations in the province and relevant agencies to successfully organize the 2nd Quang Nam Province Religious Arts Festival.
The festival was attended by more than 600 non-professional actors from 4 religious organizations in the province. This is a cultural and artistic activity of special significance, an opportunity for religious people in the province to meet, exchange, and introduce unique cultural values, contributing to enhancing understanding, solidarity, and unity among religious people in the province.
8. Promoting people's strength in building new rural areas and civilized urban areas
Over the past 5 years, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels in the province have continued to promote their core role, presiding over, negotiating and unifying with member organizations to increasingly effectively implement the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas".
During the 2019 - 2024 term, the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels propagated and mobilized people to promote their role as the main subject, mobilized internal resources to contribute more than 121.1 billion VND, donated more than 1.637 million square meters of land and participated in 220,332 working days to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas and sustainable poverty reduction...
9. Organizing the Press Award for the cause of great solidarity
During the 2019 - 2024 term, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee presided over and coordinated with the Provincial Journalists Association to organize the Press Award for the cause of great solidarity, creating a source of works to compete in the Press Award "For the cause of great national solidarity".
After 2 years of organization (2023, 2024), the Journalism Award for the cause of great solidarity of Quang Nam province has received the participation of many authors and groups of authors. Thereby contributing to the innovation of information and propaganda work of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province.
10. Successfully organize the Front Congress at commune and district levels and strengthen the Front organization and cadres.
By March 31, 2024, the whole province had 241/241 communes, wards and towns that had completed the organization of the Commune-level Congress for the 2024-2029 term. The total number of members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the commune level was 7,889, ensuring a reasonable number and composition; the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the commune level had all 3 positions as prescribed and the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the commune level was both a member of the Party Committee and a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee at the commune level.
For the district level, by June 28, 2024, 18/18 districts, towns and cities had completed organizing the Front Congress for the 2024-2029 term. The total number of members of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the district level is 979, ensuring the quantity and composition according to regulations, focusing on practicality, typicality and representation. The Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the district level has 3-5 people.
The Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the district level is a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee at the same level, including 10 Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the district level who are also Heads of the Mass Mobilization Committee of the Party Committee at the same level; 7 Vice Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at the district level participate in the District Party Executive Committee.
