Y Nhi competes in Miss World for the 72nd time

Miss World Vietnam 2023 Huynh Tran Y Nhi said she was happy to be given the opportunity to participate in the Miss World contest in season 72.

On the evening of March 22, a representative of the copyright holder sending domestic contestants to Miss World said that the selection of Y Nhi was based on observation and recognition of her efforts.

"After the noise about the statement that Ý Nhi encountered after her coronation, we have always followed her growth process and noticed the change. She now meets the criteria of a contestant at Miss World," said Ms. Pham Kim Dung - representative of Ý Nhi's management company.

The beauty queen is currently living and studying at the University of Sydney, Australia. According to the team, Y Nhi will participate in online training sessions, attend training courses abroad, and prepare for the contest. She has an independent life, and in addition to studying, she works part-time, mainly selling goods. This past Tet Giap Thin, the beauty celebrated spring for the first time away from her relatives and friends.

The beauty queen's full name is Huynh Tran Y Nhi, from Binh Dinh. She is 1.75 m tall, with measurements of 79-59-89 cm. She is a student majoring in Business Administration at the International University, Ho Chi Minh City National University.

After winning the crown, she participated in many media interviews, but the audience reacted to some of her tactless answers, forcing her to apologize.

Miss World is one of the two largest beauty pageants in the world, along with Miss Universe, first held in England in 1951. In the 71st edition in March, Miss Karolina Bielawska crowned her successor - Krystyna Pyszková. The organizers have not yet announced the time and location of the 72nd edition. However, many countries such as India, Colombia, Malaysia, and Spain have announced their contestants and spent time preparing, especially for charity projects - an important part of the competition.

In previous Miss World seasons, outstanding Vietnamese contestants included Miss Lan Khue (top 11 overall), Miss Do My Linh (top 40), Luong Thuy Linh (top 12), Tieu Vy (top 30), Do Thi Ha (top 13), and most recently Mai Phuong (top 40).
