With just over 2 months left to reach the finish line, there is still much to overcome, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Phung Duc Tien said that in the coming time, it is necessary to continue to encourage restore production; promote good models of provinces not affected by storm No. 3, from the North Central region to the Mekong Delta; try to anti-smuggling To protect and promote growth, we will soon step up the fight against smuggling of lobster seeds.

"To maintain domestic production, we must try to fight smuggling, tighten imports to promote exports, especially now that we are catching up with the Halal market so that we can step deeper into this potential market of 2.2 million people," said Deputy Minister Phung Duc Tien.
Storm No. 3 caused economic damage of about VND81,500 billion, of which agriculture alone suffered over VND30,800 billion (38%). The livestock and aquaculture sectors were most severely affected. In particular, 170,000 hectares of forest were destroyed and are being prepared for replanting early next year. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development promptly deployed support to localities, providing materials, breeds and feed to heavily damaged provinces such as Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, especially in Van Don, where the Department of Fisheries directly provided materials, breeds, feed... to support production recovery.
Regarding cultivation, total output reached 34.01 million tons, up 1.5% compared to last year. It is expected to still reach about 40 million tons, enough to meet domestic demand despite the loss of about 300,000-400,000 tons due to natural disasters.
Regarding livestock, meat output reached 6.13 million tons, up 4.8% over the same period. Regarding aquatic products, total output reached 7.02 million tons, of which export turnover by the end of September reached 7.23 billion USD, with September alone reaching more than 900 million USD.
