Truck falls 50m deep from Hanoi highway

According to information from Operation Team 1, Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway Operation Center, at about 7:45 a.m. today, August 15, at Km191+510, in Tan An commune, Van Ban district, Lao Cai province, a traffic accident occurred, injuring 2 people.

At the above time, truck 37C -151.71 was traveling in the direction of Noi Bai - Lao Cai, when reaching km191+510, suddenly lost control, crashed through Khe Sang bridge, and fell into a 50 m deep abyss.

Immediately upon receiving the information, Operation Team 1, Noi Bai - Lao Cai Expressway Operation Center and Highway Patrol Team No. 1, Road Traffic Patrol and Control Guidance Department, Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) arrived at the scene to direct traffic and protect the scene.

Truck badly damaged, 2 people injured

At the scene, the truck was severely damaged. Two people in the car were taken to the emergency room with serious injuries. The accident happened when it was raining, the highway was limited to one lane.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
