ANTD.VN - With VinFast, the car is no longer just a means of transportation but has become a place where people can enjoy life with cutting-edge technology. These are the consistent messages shared by experts and scientists from VinFast and VinBigData at the "VinFast - For a Green Future" Exhibition taking place in Ho Chi Minh City from August 18.

Redefining the value and function of cars

“Cars have gone beyond the limits of a means of transportation. More sophisticated, more attractive, more human-oriented, that is the characteristic of the new-age car, the electric car,” Mr. Stuart Ian Taylor, Deputy General Director of VinFast and Director of Electrical and Electronic Systems and Software, opened his speech at the event.

According to the veteran expert, electric cars are the next step in an industry that has been around for more than 100 years. He emphasized that today's electric cars are like a "mobile supercomputer" , consisting of dozens of computers performing tasks. The processing and communication capabilities of these computers are getting faster and more sophisticated, creating complex features that people could hardly imagine 10 years ago. Advanced driving assistance and voice communication are no longer a vision in movies, but have become a reality.

“But that’s just the starting point,” he said. VinFast is pursuing bigger things in a simple, efficient and cost-effective way, through a three-step upgrade vision: developing a system of a few central computers for control; standardizing communication and processing systems; and increasing processing power with cloud computing.

The expert revealed that VinFast is different and unique in its vision of mastering hardware architecture technology. The company has cooperated with dozens of partners to develop and integrate hardware and control software, thereby launching products very quickly, obtaining real data, understanding customers better and drawing many lessons. In the future, VinFast and its partners will move towards mastering the entire vehicle control software system.

This is a difficult task for any automaker, who is more accustomed to working with aluminum, steel, and engines than developing software. Therefore, the playing field is level and VinFast even has the advantage of a large, combative, and eager-to-learn software workforce available in the country.

According to him, Vietnamese people are fully capable of mastering the latest technologies in the automobile industry. In particular, VinFast always opens its doors to welcome talented people who want to join, to together affirm Vietnam's position on the world's automobile industry map.

“VinFast will not waste money and effort on thoughtless technological competition. We only care about what really brings the fastest benefits to customers. We believe that these will be technologies that can go straight into daily life, bringing convenient and new experiences, helping to improve the quality of life. That is the ultimate goal of VinFast,” expert Stuart Ian Taylor emphasized.

The future of a green car world has begun

Sharing in depth about the breakthrough features of electric vehicles, Professor Vu Ha Van, Director of Science at VinBigData, revealed that VinFast will be the first electric vehicle manufacturer in Southeast Asia to use advanced AI technology. According to him, a “Vietnamese version of ChatGPT” integrated into the vehicle can provide more accurate information related to specific fields or information indigenous to Vietnam.

As the first unit to master generative AI technology in Vietnam, VinBigData will launch the first Vietnamese language model next week. The model is designed to best serve Vietnamese people, such as providing legal regulations, knowledge about Vietnamese literature, history, geography, etc., creating a difference and an "exclusive" advantage for VinFast.

Professor Vu Ha Van, Director of VinBig Data Science , said that artificial intelligence will be widely applied in many fields, especially in electric vehicles.

VinAI also attended the exhibition “VinFast - For a Green Future” with smart mobility solutions, including the 360-degree panoramic observation system and the driver and passenger monitoring system.

The 360-degree panoramic view system allows the driver to monitor the car's surroundings and automatically detects vehicles and obstacles around the car and in "blind spots". With the 360-degree view surrounding the car and see through the car (Jelly View), the system provides a transparent car view mode that helps the driver observe the entire environment in front, behind, left, right and even below the car.

Exhibition visitors learn about virtual assistant technology.

Meanwhile, the Driver and Passenger Monitoring System uses artificial intelligence to identify dangerous driver behaviors such as drowsiness, drunkenness, smoking or using the phone while driving, thereby providing timely warnings. In particular, this system also integrates an automatic mirror adjustment feature, the first of its kind in the world.

According to experts, the future of a green car world has begun with the clear mark of pioneering manufacturers like VinFast. In that trend, consumers have the opportunity to own and experience car models that are not only green - clean but also smarter.

The exhibition "VinFast - For a Green Future" takes place at Vinpearl Landmark 81, Autograph Collection, Vinhomes Central Park Urban Area, Binh Thanh, Ho Chi Minh City from August 18-20. At the event, Ho Chi Minh City residents will have the opportunity to admire VinFast's unique electric vehicle ecosystem including: electric cars, electric motorbikes, electric bicycles and electric buses. Of which, VF 3, VF 6, VF 7 are introduced to the public of Ho Chi Minh City for the first time. Notably, at the exhibition, the "For a Green Future" Fund also announced a long-term and comprehensive action plan in many areas of life. In addition, "green living" and sustainable development solutions were also launched and introduced at the event.
