On September 30, a representative of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department, Binh Dinh Provincial Police, said that the unit's forces had extinguished an ambulance fire that occurred in the area.
Accordingly, at noon of the same day, driver Nguyen Ngoc Minh (51 years old, in Tuy Hoa city, Phu Yen) drove an ambulance carrying patient PTĐ. (27 years old, in Tuy Hoa city) with his family and a nurse, traveling from Phu Yen Provincial General Hospital to Binh Dinh Provincial General Hospital.

When reaching Km18 of National Highway 1D, near Bai Dai Bridge in Group 1, Quarter 1, Ghenh Rang Ward, Quy Nhon City (Binh Dinh), the ambulance suddenly caught fire.
After the incident, driver Minh, the nurse and the people in the car quickly took the patient out, used a portable fire extinguisher to put out the fire and reported the fire to the fire department.
After 13:00, the Fire Prevention and Fighting Police and Rescue Police of Binh Dinh Province arrived and completely extinguished the fire.
The incident caused no casualties, but the ambulance was badly damaged by the fire.
