After 1 p.m., a male driver was driving a pickup truck on Vo Nguyen Giap Street, An Phu Ward, heading towards the Hang Xanh roundabout. As he was going down the slope of Rach Chiec Bridge, the car suddenly jumped onto the median strip, broke many trees and a lamppost, and then crossed into the next lane.
The accident caused the front of the car to be deformed, the windshield to be broken, the front axle to be broken, and the engine block to be damaged. Many trees and lamp posts were lying around. Oil from the car spilled onto the road. Traffic through the area was locally congested. After the accident, the driver opened the car door and left.
