Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh reminded the culture, sports and tourism sector about the issue of building and effectively using cultural institutions .
On January 3, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and directed the conference to review the work in 2023 and deploy tasks in 2024 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in Hanoi. Speaking at the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh reminded the culture, sports and tourism sector about the issue of building and effectively using cultural institutions. "The system of cultural institutions, especially in remote areas and ethnic minority areas, has not had equal access to culture. This is also something that needs attention. Urban areas lack land funds, while rural areas lack funds to build these institutions," the head of the Government emphasized.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also reminded the cultural sector about an institution that is very difficult for people to access, the Vietnam Ethnic Culture Village (Son Tay Town, Hanoi). The Prime Minister assessed this institution as "large in area, difficult to access", and suggested building a high-speed urban railway from Nguyen Chi Thanh to the Vietnam Ethnic Culture Village, how to make it as convenient as the Cat Linh - Ha Dong route. "That is also a way of thinking, how to exploit, what already exists must be exploited to the maximum", said the Prime Minister. In his directive speech, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh mentioned drafting policies for people working in cultural, artistic and sports activities. "For example, sports, it is only a matter of age. When they are past their peak, how can they change their career, what policies and mechanisms are in place, to maximize their capacity, to contribute to the common strength of the nation. There must be policies, very scientific calculations to be accepted by competent authorities", the Prime Minister directed. Also at the conference, the Prime Minister directed the industry to be determined to create a breakthrough in institutionalizing the Party and State's guidelines, policies, and laws on the development of culture, sports, and tourism. That is to focus on reforming administrative procedures, improving the investment and business environment associated with promoting digital transformation. Urgently complete and submit to competent authorities to promulgate the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the 2025-2035 period and the Strategy for the Development of Vietnam's Cultural Industry in the new period. The Prime Minister acknowledged that the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has completed 90% of the tasks assigned by the Government in 2023; proactively and actively advised on promoting the work of building and perfecting institutions. The industry successfully organized a series of activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Outline on Vietnamese Culture (1943-2023).
