Stable economic development
According to the report of the People's Committee of Yen Dinh district, the district's economy has developed stably, the economic structure has shifted in a positive direction, and the production scale is increasing.
Specifically, the average annual growth rate of production value in the period of 2021 - 2023 is estimated at 10.04% (ranked 6th in the province), of which: Agriculture, forestry and fishery increased by 4.77%; industry - construction increased by 14.25%; services increased by 5.6%. The scale of production value in 2023 is estimated at 21,383 billion VND (ranked 5th in the province). Continue to maintain stable production in all 3 crops of the year.
The new rural construction program continues to receive attention from leaders and directors, in line with people's aspirations and put into practice, has a wide influence and achieved many positive results. The material and spiritual life of the people has been improved; the number of poor households has decreased rapidly and sustainably; people's income has gradually increased; infrastructure for transportation, irrigation, electricity, schools, medical stations, cultural houses, information, communication, commercial infrastructure, and rural landscapes have been strengthened, gradually meeting the production and living needs of rural residents. Up to now, Yen Dinh has 7 communes meeting advanced NTM standards, of which 2 communes have met advanced NTM standards.
The program "One Commune One OCOP Product" continues to be strengthened. Up to now, Yen Dinh district has 17 OCOP products meeting 3-star standards. The economic structure has shifted positively; the proportion of agriculture, forestry and fishery decreased from 24.53% in 2023; industry - construction increased to 57.72% in 2023; services decreased by 21.58% per year. The average annual growth rate of production value is estimated at 14.25%; the production value in the period of 2021 - 2023 is estimated at 18,444 billion VND (in 2023 it is estimated at 6,863 billion VND, ranking 5th in the province).
In the period of 2021 - 2023, a number of large projects were invested, completed and put into use, creating an important driving force for the rapid and sustainable socio-economic development of the district. The management and operation of district and commune budget revenue and expenditure has made progress, ensuring publicity and transparency.
Total budget revenue in the area in the period of 2021 - 2023 reached nearly 688.4 billion VND, exceeding 69% of the plan; 2 more towns were established: Quy Loc, Yen Lam; 1 project of the District Construction Planning to 2045 was prepared and submitted to competent authorities for approval; 4 projects to adjust the overall urban planning including: Quan Lao town, Yen Lam town, Quy Loc town, Kieu town; 12 detailed construction planning projects in the urban area were approved; 16 projects are being prepared, appraised and approved in accordance with regulations. Complete the project to adjust and expand the general planning of Quan Lao town, Yen Dinh district until 2035, as a basis for mobilizing resources to renovate and beautify the urban area according to the roadmap and develop a program and project to propose to competent authorities to recognize Quan Lao town as meeting the criteria of a type IV urban area before 2025.

Cultural and information activities continue to receive attention and direction. The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" has been maintained and developed; up to now, 100% of communes have met the new rural cultural standards and towns have met the urban civilized standards. The urbanization rate by 2023 is estimated at 23.54% (an increase of 12.64% compared to 2020; the target by 2025 is 27%); The rate of households with standard housing is 98.5%; the rate of urban residents with clean water from centralized clean water plants is 41%; The rate of urban public green land is over 7m2/person.
Along with that, it is necessary to continue to strengthen leadership and direct the work of site clearance, ensure publicity and transparency in compensation, support, resettlement, and stabilization of life for people whose land is recovered, create a "clean" land fund to hand over to investors according to the committed schedule; actively propagate and mobilize people to comply with the policies and laws of the State;
Mobilize the strength of the entire political system to promote the movement of the entire people to protect national security. Focus on organizing the prevention and effective fight against all types of crimes and social evils. Strengthen the work of preventing corruption, strictly implementing regulations on practicing thrift and combating waste, and inspection and examination work to detect and prevent violations in the process of implementing state management in all fields.
Social security issues have been well implemented, hunger eradication and poverty reduction have achieved high results, up to now the poverty rate in the district has decreased to only 3.6%, average income per capita has reached 38.72 million VND/person/year. Health and nutrition policies are always concerned, 100% of communes and towns maintain good national health criteria, the rate of people participating in health insurance has reached 93%.
The whole district has supported the development and implementation of the project "Sustainable poverty reduction for the period 2022 - 2025", mobilizing social resources and the district budget to support housing construction costs for poor households and households in especially difficult circumstances who cannot afford to build houses. Policies to support cultural and information enjoyment, credit policies, and electricity support policies are implemented in a timely and correct manner. Support is provided to students from poor, near-poor and ethnic minority households with a total of 5,152 students.
Yen Dinh district also focuses on building a clean and strong Party, Government and political system, promoting the pioneering and exemplary role of cadres and party members, especially leaders at all levels, promptly praising and rewarding typical and advanced individuals in the process of deploying and implementing political tasks in localities and units.

Strive to achieve advanced NTM standards, model NTM standards
Identifying the construction of new rural areas as a journey without stopping with the consistent goal of improving people's lives, Yen Dinh strives to have over 80% of communes meeting advanced new rural standards, over 20% of communes meeting model new rural standards and over 55% of villages meeting model new rural standards by 2025.
To do that, Yen Dinh district will continue to focus on improving the quality and promoting the role of Party organizations, government, and political organizations in building new rural areas. At the same time, it will thoroughly implement the guidelines of the Central and the province on building new rural areas.
Strengthening propaganda work, mobilizing maximum participation and contribution of people in terms of intelligence, effort and resources to create strength to build new rural areas successfully and sustainably.
At the same time, Yen Dinh is continuing to implement a number of key solutions such as focusing on leading agricultural development towards improving productivity, quality and efficiency, large-scale commodity production associated with building advanced and exemplary new rural areas; encouraging and creating an environment to attract investment in developing small-scale industrial production, trade services; continuing administrative reform, improving the open investment and business environment.
In addition, improving the quality of socio-cultural activities, implementing well social security policies to solve employment; strengthening national security and ensuring social order and safety; further improving the effectiveness of state management in directing and operating as well as the operating capacity and moral qualities of the staff, civil servants and public employees. In particular, building the spirit of solidarity, as well as consensus between the Party and the masses has received great attention from Party committees, authorities at all levels as well as mass organizations.
