Tan Thang Commune (Ham Tan District, Binh Thuan) is a barren, infertile land bordering the sea, where people mainly live on planting cajuput and acacia trees and small-scale livestock farming. However, since the MebiGroup Corporation's high-quality egg project was implemented, this rural area has witnessed a strong transformation.

Breaking the cycle of poverty

Standing on the magnificent, spacious concrete road leading to the high-tech chicken farming project, it is hard to imagine that this road used to be a nightmare for local people with mud and potholes.

With a total length of more than 2.5 km and an investment of more than 4.7 billion VND, the residential road leading through the chicken farm is now free of potholes, spacious, clean and straight, leading to the modern farm project.

“In the past, every time it rained, mud covered the wheels, making it difficult to transport goods. Now that the new road is completed, travel is convenient, everyone is happy,” said Mr. Nguyen Thanh Truong, Secretary of the Tan Thang Commune Party Committee.

As Tet approaches, the peaceful, poor coastal countryside becomes more bustling as workers busily prepare for the farm to start operating on January 17.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien (a poor household in the commune) could not hide her joy at being able to work near her home. She said: “My family lives all year round by taking care of ornamental plants under the project, sometimes there is work, sometimes there is not. Now that there is a project right in my commune, I hope to have a stable job, enough to take care of my children's education.”

With a scale of 1.2 million egg-laying hens, the farm of more than 70 hectares is considered by experts to be the most modern in Binh Thuan, promising to bring income to hundreds of families and also opening up opportunities to access clean and sustainable food production processes.

Mr. Le Trong Quoc, Head of Mebi Farm Project Management Board, said: “We need about 120 unskilled workers to take care of ornamental plants and clean vegetables around the farm. In particular, we prioritize recruiting local people to both solve employment problems and help them access modern farming processes.”

I hope more clean eggs will appear on Vietnamese dining tables.

Mebi Farm is designed as a model, with the entire closed production process according to Japanese standards.

Sharing with Tuoi Tre Online , Ms. Lam Thuy Ai - general director of Mebi Farm company - said: "We aim for clean production with the criteria of 3 no: no antibiotics, no banned substances, no growth hormones".

To achieve this, Ms. Ai said that in modern barns, the temperature is maintained at an ideal level of 26 - 28 degrees Celsius for the chickens to grow healthily. Drinking water is filtered using UF technology, ensuring the retention of necessary minerals.

Thanks to the strict control process, Mebi chicken eggs are not only delicious but can also be eaten raw, meeting the diverse needs of consumers, from omega 3 eggs, DHA eggs to eggs specifically for children, the elderly, athletes, gym goers...

“We hope that clean eggs from Mebi Farm will contribute to improving the quality of Vietnamese meals,” Ms. Ai shared.

Mebi Farm's high-tech chicken farming project also received positive reviews from experts.

Mr. Hua Phu Doan, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Medical Equipment Association, expressed his confidence in the company’s commitment. Mr. Doan shared: “I believe in Mebi Farm’s commitment to producing eggs that are not only clean in the shell but also clean in the inside, ensuring absolute safety for consumers’ health.”

After the inauguration ceremony on January 17, the Mebi Farm breeding area will be disinfected before receiving pullets (1-day-old chicks). It is expected that after about 4 months, the first eggs will reach consumers.
