Consulting voters on the Project to rearrange provinces and commune-level administrative units

(BD)- On April 17, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan issued a plan to collect voters' opinions and submit to People's Councils at all levels the Project to rearrange Gia Lai province with Binh Dinh province and the Project to rearrange commune-level administrative units in the province.

The time for collecting opinions is from April 19 to April 20. The subjects of the opinion collection are voters representing households in commune-level administrative units directly affected by the projects. The content of the opinion collection includes two options: "agree" or "disagree" with the project to rearrange administrative units at all levels.

Voter opinion polls are prepared according to form No. 1 of the plan. The People's Committee at the commune level coordinates with the police agency at the same level to review and compile a list of voters for each village and residential area. After compiling the list, the People's Committee at the commune level is responsible for publicly posting it at the headquarters of the People's Committee at the commune level and the headquarters of the village and residential area for people to check the information.

The People's Committee at the commune level shall synthesize and report the results of the voter consultation to the People's Council at the commune level and the People's Committee at the district level before April 21. The People's Committee at the district level shall synthesize and send the results to the People's Council at the district level and the Provincial Department of Home Affairs before April 22. After completing the consultation, the People's Committee at the commune and district levels shall submit to the People's Council at the same level for consideration and issuance of a Resolution approving the policy of rearranging provincial and communal administrative units, to be completed before April 24. The Provincial People's Committee shall send to the Ministry of Home Affairs the dossier of the Project on rearranging Gia Lai province with Binh Dinh province and the Project on rearranging communal administrative units for appraisal, to be completed before April 30.
