While raising and breeding, Mr. Bao's family recently sold more than a dozen wild boars for meat at an average price of 140,000 VND/kg of live weight, earning nearly 100 million VND.
The hybrid wild boar meat is delicious, has crispy skin, and is low in fat, so it is popular in the market. Due to the impact of African swine fever, his family is not actively restocking the herd.
Along with that, taking advantage of the house having a wide frontage right in the city center, Mr. Bao's family opened a breakfast restaurant, made-to-order meals, and created jobs for 10 local workers with an income of 300,000 - 400,000 VND/person/day.
The total income from livestock and services brings his family over 600 million VND each year. Mr. Bao added that in the coming time, his family will continue to invest in expanding the farm area to raise wild pigs and grow wild orchids to develop the family economy.
With diligence, hard work and creativity, Mr. Bao has built and developed a highly effective comprehensive economic model.
As a typical farmer member in the local economic development movement, Mr. Bao also actively participates in emulation movements organized by the Farmers' Association; his family actively supports and shares production and business experiences with many people when needed.
