Vu Quang district (Ha Tinh) continues to focus on improving the quality of emulation and reward work, creating momentum to successfully implement goals and tasks in 2024.

On the morning of January 15, the People's Committee of Vu Quang district held a conference to summarize emulation and reward work in 2023 and launch the emulation movement in 2024.

In 2023, the organization and implementation of the emulation movement "Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure; practicing thrift and fighting waste" was promoted by Vu Quang district and achieved high results.

The locality has directed and guided communes and towns to receive cement to build more than 4 km of new concrete roads (reaching 100% of the plan); build more than 19 km of roads from state budget investment capital (reaching 127.1% of the plan)...

The organization and implementation of the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas" has been focused on, directed strongly and achieved many positive results. For the basic district-level criteria, 1 more advanced new rural district criterion (security, order - public administration) has been achieved, the remaining criteria have increased the standard level by 10 - 15%.

Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee Vu Quang Phan Hong Yen reported on emulation and reward work in 2023; directions and tasks in 2024.

Of the 28 socio-economic targets set by the District Party Committee and the District People's Council, 20 targets were achieved and exceeded the plan. In particular, the main targets are: the production value of economic sectors in 2023 is estimated at more than 3,500 billion VND, an increase of 1.62% over the same period.

Agricultural, forestry and fishery production remains stable, with some sectors achieving quite comprehensive results. Total grain output is estimated at 15,422 tons (equal to 110.15% compared to 2022). Average income per capita is estimated at 50.32 million VND/year (an increase of 3.35 million VND compared to 2022).

Chairman of Vu Quang District People's Committee Bui Khac Bang emphasized some contents at the conference.

In 2024, Vu Quang district will continue to focus on implementing the key and urgent tasks of the district, sectors, localities, agencies and units. The content and objectives need to focus on removing difficulties in capital, attracting investment, developing enterprises; preventing epidemics; researching and transferring high-quality and high-yielding crop varieties into production.

Implement the construction of new rural areas according to the approved plan; implement the construction of infrastructure and production development, focusing on key traffic works and cultural and social works.

Based on the political tasks and socio-economic development goals of the district, each agency, unit and locality organizes and launches a widespread emulation movement throughout the Party, the entire army and the entire people to achieve achievements in celebrating major holidays of the district, the province and the country in 2024.
