This year, the festival has the participation of more than 50 typical culinary booths representing the three regions of North - Central - South.
Specifically, the North has stalls such as bun cha, banh cuon, bun oc... The Central region has bun bo Hue, mi Quang, che heo quay... The South has Chau Doc fish noodle soup, Soc Trang noodle soup, My Tho noodle soup...
There are also booths about traditional crafts and cuisine from neighboring countries such as Thailand, Korea...

In particular, the festival also had the participation of artisan Ho Dac Thieu Anh - deputy director of the UNESCO Center for Southern Vietnamese Culinary Culture. On the first day of the festival, Ms. Anh and her daughter brought rose cakes shaped like a map of Vietnam, green bean cakes with Buddha's hand jam, tomato jam and green pumpkin jam.
Ms. Thieu Anh said: "My daughter and I bring here dishes made from ingredients grown by Vietnamese farmers. From there, we spread the message 'Vietnamese people use Vietnamese products', help improve the economy for farmers, take advantage of available ingredients in the country to promote Vietnamese cuisine and culture to international friends."
From early morning, hundreds of tourists from Ho Chi Minh City and abroad were present at the zoo to visit food stalls, watch artisans make figurines, draw masks of opera characters...

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhut - Deputy Director of Saigon Zoo and Botanical Garden Company Limited - said that the festival is the opening event in a series of activities of the zoo and botanical garden, joining the atmosphere towards the 50th anniversary of national reunification.
Through this, the Zoo hopes to spread the cultural and culinary characteristics of the three regions to domestic and foreign tourists.
The festival runs from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. from April 2 to 7. Admission is free from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on festival days.
