The Vietnam - China Youth Friendship Meeting is an annual, rotating activity organized between the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Youth Union, with each country welcoming about 100 young people during each Meeting.

According to information from the Organizing Committee, the program will take place from April 12 to 18 with many meaningful and important activities taking place in Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh and Ho Chi Minh City. Notably, this year's program is organized on the occasion of the highest-ranking leaders of the Chinese Party and State visiting and working in Vietnam.
2025 is also the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the 100th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's founding of the Vietnam Revolutionary Youth League - the predecessor of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
The 24th Vietnam - China Youth Friendship Meeting in 2025 aims to concretize the results and the High-level Joint Statement, contributing to promoting to the young generations of the two countries about new developments in Vietnam - China relations.
At the same time, the activity aims to enhance understanding, exchange and share experiences in Youth Union work and youth movements between the Youth Union organizations of the two countries; promote and introduce the country, people and development achievements of Vietnam after nearly 40 years of renovation.
This year, the two countries' delegations agreed to choose the theme of the 24th Vietnam - China Youth Friendship Meeting in 2025 as "Vietnamese - Chinese Youth: Firmly upholding ideals".
The program's activities include: courtesy visits to leaders of the Vietnamese Party and State, leaders of local delegations visiting and working; talks between the First Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the First Secretary of the Central Secretariat of the Chinese Communist Youth Union; Forum "Vietnam-China Youth: Firmly upholding ideals".
In addition, the program also includes discussions and experience exchanges between youth delegates from the two countries on youth theory work; youth solidarity, gathering and building of Youth Union - Association organizations; youth participation in socio-economic development; digital transformation. Delegates will visit and work at agencies, units, youth institutions; and visit local historical and scenic sites.
In recent times, the Vietnam-China relationship has entered a new stage of development, becoming increasingly deeper, comprehensive and substantive, creating a strong spillover effect to all levels and sectors of both sides, forming a vibrant, effective and practical cooperative atmosphere.
Especially after the historic visits of the top leaders of the two Parties, the two sides agreed to continue to deepen and further enhance the framework of the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership, building a "Vietnam-China Community of Shared Future of Strategic Significance" with the connotation of "6 more".
Earlier this year, General Secretary To Lam and General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping had a very successful phone call. The two sides announced the launch of the Vietnam-China Year of Humanitarian Exchange 2025, emphasizing the enhancement of people-to-people exchanges and consolidating a more solid social foundation for bilateral relations.
