On December 19, right after the opening ceremony of the Vietnam International Defence Expo 2024, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, leaders of the Government and National Assembly, along with General Phan Van Giang, Minister of National Defense, and leaders of ministries and branches visited Viettel's booth.

In the two events of the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition in 2022 and this year, the Prime Minister chose Viettel's booth as the first stop within the framework of the event.

Welcoming the Prime Minister and leaders of ministries and branches, Chairman and General Director of Viettel Group - Major General Tao Duc Thang introduced the most modern products mastered by Viettel in terms of technology in both military and civilian fields.

At Viettel's booth in the defense industrial park, Viettel brought modern products with the message "Protech to Protect".

Listening to and directly observing the UAV products and high-tech military equipment engines of Viettel, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged the efforts of Viettel's leadership and staff in successfully researching and manufacturing military equipment made by Vietnamese people, opening up a strategic direction for the military equipment manufacturing industry, with high technology content; suitable for the art of warfare, climate and environmental conditions of Vietnam while ensuring secrecy, safety, and not depending on foreign countries.

Visiting Viettel's booth at the national defense economic zone, the Prime Minister expressed his interest in the AI ​​supercomputer. The product is specially designed for artificial intelligence (AI) applications and high-performance computing; equipped with world-leading technology, providing massive data processing performance and a computing speed of up to 4 million billion calculations per second.

Here, Viettel representatives also introduced 6 groups of solutions: 5G Ecosystem, Viettel Logistics Infrastructure, Smart Factory, Green Energy, Smart City and smart solutions for people.

On the opening morning, many international delegations from Cambodia, Indonesia, South Africa... visited Viettel's exhibition areas.

Major General Tao Duc Thang, Chairman and General Director of Viettel, said that Viettel is very proud to be selected as one of the important and key units participating in the exhibition, both in the civilian and military fields. Viettel's first goal in participating in this event is to, together with units in the Ministry of National Defense, demonstrate the defense potential, and demonstrate the strength, intelligence and bravery of the Vietnam People's Army.

"This is also an opportunity for Viettel to join hands to promote the image of the country and people of Vietnam as the host country of a major event," Major General Tao Duc Thang emphasized.

The exhibition space is designed as a solid defensive battlefield.

At the exhibition, Viettel displayed more than 120 high-tech defense industry products, dual-use products serving people such as 5G ecosystem, IoT... which were researched, designed and manufactured entirely domestically, applying the world's leading technologies. Many products have been put into training, combat readiness, and exported to international markets.

Of which, there are over 80 products in the high-tech defense industry in 10 sectors including: Radar, optical-electronic equipment, electronic warfare, military information, simulation training, command and control, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), aerospace equipment, cyber warfare, cyber security and other product groups.

Notably, Viettel's multi-purpose UAV, a strategic product, can fly continuously for more than 12 hours, with an operating range of more than 1,000 km, equipped with high-precision attack weapons as well as long-range reconnaissance equipment, and relay information over large distances, opening up a completely new combat capability for the military.

Viettel's booth at the exhibition has the theme "Protecting the Fatherland - Unleashing Power", the exhibition space is designed as a solid defense battlefield, with the control center in the middle and surrounded by modern technology systems such as UAVs, electronic warfare and aerospace.
