Quang Nam determined to eliminate "3 no" fishing boats

At the meeting, Colonel Le Huy congratulated Quang Nam province for its strong and remarkable development. Colonel Le Huy expressed his pride when the unit was stationed in Quang Nam. At the same time, the Political Commissar of Coast Guard Region 2 informed the provincial leaders about the situation of the sea and islands, the Vietnam Coast Guard and the Command of Coast Guard Region 2, and expressed his thanks to the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee and departments, agencies, military and border guards for maintaining good relationships with the unit.

Speaking at the meeting, Quang Nam Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet acknowledged the important contributions of the Coast Guard Region 2 Command in protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands, supporting fishermen both at sea and on shore. As a key force in a key sea area, Coast Guard Region 2 has achieved many feats, becoming a reliable support for people at sea.

The Provincial Party Secretary also said that currently, Quang Nam is focusing on eliminating "3 no" fishing vessels (unregistered, uninspected, unlicensed), coordinating with the Coast Guard to combat IUU fishing (illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing).

The province also focuses on developing the marine industry, changing occupations for fishermen, and ensuring security and order. In the coming time, solutions will be implemented more closely, extensively, and comprehensively.
