From March 21-22, the European Union (EU) Summit will take place in Brussels (Belgium), with the participation of leaders from member states.

According to Politico , the conference will discuss pressing issues, including increasing and accelerating aid to Ukraine, developing a common defense strategy for Europe, the humanitarian situation in Gaza, reforming the European agricultural system and assessing preparations for the expansion of the alliance.
President of the European Council Charles Michel stressed that the most important task now is to speed up the procurement and delivery of ammunition to Ukraine.
He also said that this is the time to change the European security and defense model, with increased investment in this field to deal with the biggest security threat since World War II.
Regarding the situation in the Middle East, Mr. Michel called for a resolution of the situation in Gaza, emphasizing the need for a ceasefire to protect civilians, allow the safe return of hostages and ensure the ability to provide humanitarian assistance when needed; at the same time, increase efforts to prevent escalation in the region, especially in Lebanon and the Red Sea.
EU leaders will also discuss the European agricultural crisis to seek solutions to farmers' concerns.
On EU enlargement, the summit will assess preparations for enlargement and reform, and ensure the bloc and its future member states are ready.
At the Summit, leaders will also discuss with the President of the European Central Bank (ECB) and the President of the Eurogroup the economic and financial situation, as well as the coordination and close management of the EU's macroeconomic policies.
Mr. Michel stressed that it was time to reaffirm the EU's strong determination to make decisive progress towards a deeper Capital Markets Union.
At the Summit, leaders also reviewed the migration situation and addressed various foreign relations issues.
