Vietnam International Bank (VIB) has made a bold breakthrough with the art gift project "Hundred rivers flow to the ocean".

From the heart to the "Crossroads of the world"

Ms. Tu Vo - VIB Marketing and Communications Director said: "The unique art collection "Hundred rivers flow to the great sea" is a wish for connection and prosperity that the bank wants to send to customers on the occasion of Tet 2025.

Created from the collaboration between the Bank and visual artist Bui Cong Khanh, the artwork is not only a gift of gratitude, but also a symbol of honoring contemporary art and Vietnamese cultural values ​​that the Bank wishes to bring to its customers.

Before appearing at Times Square (Nasdaq Billboard, New York) - a symbol of global creativity, "Hundred Rivers Flow to the Ocean" left a strong impression in Vietnam.

The combination of three big names: VIB - a leading retail bank, leading the trend in innovation and creativity, Minh Long ceramics - a brand that inherits the four-generation ceramic tradition of the Ly family, with a history of more than 100 years of development, and artist Bui Cong Khanh - a Vietnamese artist who is a pioneer in the school of conceptual art, has created a unique work of contemporary art.

"A hundred rivers flow to the ocean" depicts small rivers overcoming many rapids to converge in the vast ocean. This is not only a symbol of reunion and origin, but also evokes the desire to reach out to the world.

The common point of these three names is that they always take innovation and creativity as their philosophy in their operations. Therefore, when they found harmony and combined together, "Hundred Rivers Flow to the Big Sea" was born, not only stopping at a special creative project, bringing art into the user's experience journey, this is also a work with the value of connecting finance with art, opening up a unique, sophisticated, and novel approach to the banking industry.

The highlight of the collection lies in the sophistication in design and manufacturing. Mr. Ly Huy Sang - the 4th generation descendant of the brand that is over 100 years old said that when he received the assignment from VIB, he felt very excited and wanted to accompany the bank to innovate, continuing to create meaningful values ​​for the community.

Minh Long representative shared: "The three parties have set the strictest standards to achieve perfection. The white porcelain enamel base uses pure kaolin, without impurities and is fired in a kiln at 1,380 degrees Celsius to ensure the finished product has the most mechanical strength and durability possible, and was chosen to appear in this project."

"However, the "Hundred Rivers Flow to the Sea" motif is a challenge," Minh Long General Director emphasized.

Minh Long health ceramic uses special technology to help protect the user's health. Health ceramic cups can keep heat for at least 40 minutes.

The nano-glaze layer helps the product to be dirt-resistant, always beautiful and new; does not change the flavor of the drink. In particular, drinking water in a ceramic health cup at room temperature of 20-25 degrees Celsius can help increase the amount of ions in the water, good for the digestive system.

Artist Bui Cong Khanh also said: "This project is an opportunity to bring art closer to the public. The rivers converging to the ocean remind every Vietnamese family of the value of togetherness, where every member, no matter how far away, always returns."

"After going through elaborate steps of production, the collection "Hundred Rivers Return to the Great Sea" has expressed the spirit that VIB, Minh Long, and artist Bui Cong Khanh desire, which is a perfect combination of contemporary art and culture of reunion, bringing immeasurable spiritual value," Mr. Sang affirmed.

"This is the first time I decided to cooperate with a financial brand. At first, I couldn't imagine that I could take on this job because art and commerce are two very different fields," artist Bui Cong Khanh shared. And then, the work "Hundred Rivers Flow to the Great Sea" gradually took shape with the first strokes under the pen of visual artist Bui Cong Khanh.

However, Bui Cong Khanh said he participated in the project because this was an opportunity for art to get closer to the public.

And this project of the Bank also has many similarities with his thoughts. "The Tet gift set is a reminder that family reunions are not only an occasion for people to meet, chat and share, but also a moment to review their roots, reminding each other of the values ​​that create family identity," he emphasized.
