Reporting to the Ministry of Transport on the implementation status of component project 1A of the Tan Van - Nhon Trach section (phase 1) of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3, My Thuan Project Management Board said that as of June 13, the entire project site had mobilized 49 construction teams with a total of nearly 500 engineers and workers.

Project implementation output reached nearly 56% of contract value, 7.9% behind schedule.
"The cause of the delay is due to a lack of sand materials for the roadbed, slow site handover, and the contractor's slow mobilization of construction teams, materials and equipment," the project management unit stated.
For more details, My Thuan Project Management Board said that for the construction organization, the contractor needs to mobilize 2 more teams to construct the bridge base, body (pier) and pier; 2 teams to install and construct the bridge deck for package CW1 (Construction of Nhon Trach bridge and approach road).
Package CW2 (construction of the section from Km5+000 to Km10+000 and from Km12+600 - Km13+140) also needs to mobilize 2 more construction teams for the bridge base, body (pier) and pier for the HLD intersection.
Regarding site clearance work, according to the project management unit, the total area recovered for construction is more than 87 hectares/540 households.
Of which, in Ho Chi Minh City, nearly 38 hectares/72 households need to be recovered; in Dong Nai province, more than 49 hectares/468 households. The total number of households that need to be resettled is 217 households.
As of mid-June, Ho Chi Minh City has handed over 100% of the site. However, there are two households obstructing the construction, demanding compensation for some plots of land of unclear legal origin at the intersection between Ring Road 3 and Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway.
On June 4, 2024, Thu Duc City People's Committee issued a Notice of Conclusion on the handover of land, forced land acquisition, and difficulties of the Ring Road 3 project. My Thuan Project Management Board is continuing to coordinate with the locality to organize construction protection and resolve difficulties with households in June 2024.
For Dong Nai province, the handed over land reached 432/468 households with an area of nearly 47 hectares, equivalent to more than 95%.
"Currently, the Dong Nai coastline is basically clear, but there are still 4 households that have not yet handed over the land on the main project route.
The investor is coordinating with the locality to continue mobilizing people, completing payment, compensation, dismantling architectural works and handing over clean land in June 2024," My Thuan Project Management Board informed.
Regarding the relocation of public works, according to the report, there are 7 locations in Dong Nai province. Following the procedures as prescribed, on June 11, Nhon Trach Power Company cut off the power to relocate 4 priority technical infrastructure locations outside the project area and is continuing to construct the remaining locations, with the completion schedule in June 2024.
"On the Ho Chi Minh City side, there is a transformer station located in the land that VEC has cleared (outside the road safety corridor). Thu Duc Electricity and VEC, VEC.E have agreed on a relocation plan. It is expected that on June 20, 2024, the electricity unit will support power outage to carry out the relocation," said the My Thuan Project Management Board.
Component project 1A of the Tan Van - Nhon Trach section construction investment project (phase 1) of Ho Chi Minh City Ring Road 3 is invested with a total route length of more than 8km.
Of which, the route length through Ho Chi Minh City is nearly 2km, through Dong Nai is more than 6km.
Starting point intersects with Provincial Road 25B (Nhon Trach, Dong Nai). End point intersects with Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway.
The route is invested with a roadbed width of 20.5-26m, including 4 motor vehicle lanes and 2 mixed vehicle lanes, with a design speed of 80km/h.
The project has a total investment of nearly 7,000 billion VND, started in September 2022, and is expected to be completed in September 2025.
