Van Don gets back to work right after Tet

Together with other localities in the province, Van Don district has been actively accelerating the implementation of tasks right after the Lunar New Year holiday of At Ty 2025. The locality's goal is to complete and exceed socio-economic development targets right from the first days and months of the new year to practically celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and welcome the Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term.

As soon as the Lunar New Year holiday ended, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Van Don district signed Document No. 224/UBND-NV (dated February 3, 2025) to the heads of departments, offices, and public service units under the district and the Chairmen of the People's Committees of communes and towns in the area to strengthen discipline, order, ethics, and public service culture. In particular, it requires agencies and units to focus on implementing work from the first working day, especially the contents and tasks with deadlines and statutes of limitations according to the provisions of law and procedures directly related to people, production and business activities of individuals, organizations, and enterprises, not to let the situation of overdue documents occur. Strictly comply with regulations and use working time effectively (morning from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm, afternoon from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm), absolutely do not use working time for personal work or going to festivals.

Following the direction of the District People's Committee, the departments, agencies and units under the district have promptly and promptly implemented the work according to their assigned functions and tasks.

Mr. Ly Van Khuong, Chief of Office of Van Don District People's Committee, said: After the online meeting to open the new year for the whole province, civil servants and employees of agencies and units have started working with a spirit of urgency and seriousness. There is no situation where one department or office visits and wishes Tet to other departments and offices and then leaves their positions as before. Any civil servants and employees found to have violated discipline, administrative discipline, and public ethics will be strictly handled, with no forbidden areas and no exceptions.

To ensure the progress and time of announcing the decision to establish party organizations under the District Party Committee, although the Organizing Committee of Van Don District Party Committee has a small number of cadres and civil servants, with the spirit of urgent and serious work, the entire content of the projects and draft decisions to establish these party organizations were completed quickly, submitted to the District Party Committee for signing and promulgation and announced on February 5, 2025.

The Van Don District Construction Investment Project Management Board also quickly started implementing the construction of projects and works, contributing to accelerating the disbursement of public investment capital in 2025 right from the first days of the new year of At Ty. In 2025, the Van Don District Construction Investment Project Management Board was assigned to manage and disburse over 330 billion VND of public investment capital. Immediately after the Tet holiday, the unit's leaders directly met, agreed on measures to lead and direct officers and employees in organizing the disbursement of public investment capital; reviewed projects with remaining problems and obstacles related to site clearance, land allocation procedures, etc. to promptly propose to the District People's Committee to resolve them. Along with that, information was sent to contractors currently constructing projects and works to quickly arrange technical equipment and machinery, and labor resources to return to construction sites after Tet.
