(HNMO) - On June 6, Mr. Tran The Cuong, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, Deputy Head of the Hanoi City Steering Committee for Examinations and Enrollment in 2023 led a working delegation to inspect the preparations for organizing the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2023-2024 school year at a number of testing locations in Ba Dinh and Tay Ho districts.
According to the report of the Head of the Department of Education and Training of Ba Dinh District, Le Duc Thuan, there are 7 examination sites with 160 examination rooms in Ba Dinh District. The examination sites are located at 4 middle schools (Phan Chu Trinh, Nguyen Tri Phuong, Thang Long, Thanh Cong) and 4 high schools (Nguyen Trai, Phan Dinh Phung, Pham Hong Thai). The total number of candidates registered for the examination is nearly 3,700. The examination and admission steering committee of the district has established a working group to support each examination site to promptly grasp the situation and resolve any arising problems.
As one of the examination sites with a large number of candidates, Phan Dinh Phung High School (Ba Dinh District) has prepared 25 examination rooms and 2 spare rooms. Ms. Nguyen Thi Nham Huyen, Principal of the school, said that the school has carefully reviewed and ensured the conditions for organizing the exam safely and seriously. In order to increase support for candidates, the school has mobilized and trained a team of volunteers - students of the school to participate in guiding, looking after belongings, and providing necessary information to candidates.
In Tay Ho district, there are also 7 examination sites with 173 examination rooms. The examination sites are located at 5 middle schools (Chu Van An, Dong Thai, Xuan La, Phu Thuong, Nhat Tan) and 2 high schools (Chu Van An, Tay Ho). Vice Chairman of Tay Ho District People's Committee Bui Thi Lan Phuong informed that the district's Examination and Admissions Steering Committee has inspected the examination sites for preparation of facilities. All examination sites meet the security and safety conditions for the examination. Each examination site has also developed a plan to ensure security and safety, prevent and control epidemics, ensure food safety, and take care of candidates' health.
Reports from members of the Steering Committee for Examinations and Admissions in Ba Dinh and Tay Ho districts all confirmed that the best conditions were ensured for the examination sites in the area. In the context of hot weather and power shortages, all units had backup plans, with generators at all examination sites and scenarios for dealing with unexpected situations such as heavy rain, flooding, power outages, severe heat, or cases of candidates having unusual health conditions during the examination...
Directly inspecting the examination rooms, the offices of the examination site leaders, the examination and test paper storage rooms, the medical room, the backup room... and through working with representatives of the Examination and Admissions Steering Committee of Ba Dinh and Tay Ho districts and the principals of the schools where the examination sites are located, Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong acknowledged the careful and serious preparation work of the units.
Mr. Tran The Cuong noted that units continue to carefully review the physical conditions, especially the electricity, water, air conditioning, and cooling fan systems in the examination rooms, and anticipate situations that may arise to proactively respond, ensuring the best interests of candidates. The Hanoi City Examination and Admissions Steering Committee also requested the Examination and Admissions Steering Committees of districts, towns, and cities to continue to pay the best attention and priority in all aspects and create the most favorable conditions for candidates to take the exam to achieve high results.
The 10th grade high school entrance exam for the 2023-2024 school year will take place on June 10 and 11.
