According to information from the Department of Trade Remedies, Ministry of Industry and Trade, recently, the Australian Anti-Dumping Commission (ADC) under the Australian Ministry of Industry, Science and Resources has announced the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation (CBPG) on imported hot-rolled steel rebar originating from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam.
Accordingly, the plaintiff, Infrabuild NSW Pty Limited of Australia, filed a request for anti-dumping investigation on the above products with HS codes: 7214.20.00; 7228.30.10; 7228.30.90 and 7228.60.10. The investigation period is from July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024.

The Australian Anti-Dumping Commission (ADC) has issued an Investigation Questionnaire to Vietnamese exporters. The deadline for responding to the Questionnaire is 31 October 2024.
According to the case schedule, ADC is expected to issue a Preliminary Conclusion on November 25, 2024 (subject to extension), issue a Report on Material Facts on January 13, 2025, and a Final Conclusion on February 26, 2025.
The Trade Defense Department recommends the Association and related manufacturing and exporting enterprises to do the following: Carefully study the Application Document, Initiation Notice and instructions and regulations; Cooperate fully and comprehensively to answer the Investigation Questionnaire, provide information as requested by ADC; Regularly provide information and exchange information with the Trade Defense Department to receive timely support.
