One day before the opening match against U17 Australia at the 2025 AFC U17 Championship, coach Cristiano Roland finalized the list of 23 players for Vietnam U17. The three players who missed the AFC U17 Championship this year are Tran Hoang Khanh (PVF), Ha Huy Phuc (Hanoi) and Mai Viet Dung (Ha Tinh).
On the morning of April 3, Coach Cristiano Roland met and encouraged the above players, and encouraged them to continue to practice hard at the club, maintain their spirit and be ready for the next training sessions, and further, to wear the shirts of the U19 and U20 Vietnam teams.
According to the plan, at 6pm the same day (22:00 Vietnam time), coach Cristiano Roland and his team will enter a "rehearsal" session for the opening match against U17 Australia (22:00 April 4). The result of this match is very important for both teams, in the goal of competing for one of the top two positions in Group B, winning the right to continue with a ticket to the 2025 World Cup.
