Yen exchange rate trend forecast
In the short term, the USD/JPY pair may continue to fluctuate in a narrow range as the market awaits the US Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) Price Index data, a key inflation measure closely watched by the Fed. If the figure comes in higher than expected, the USD could maintain its strength, putting pressure on the Japanese Yen.

" Japanese economic data usually doesn't move the market much, but it has been more impactful recently. This is probably because the BOJ is now playing a bigger role in shaping exchange rates, " said Shinichiro Kadota, a foreign exchange strategist at Barclays Securities Japan.
