Before suffering a serious injury, Vi Hao's performance was getting better and better for both the club and the national team. At Becamex Binh Duong, the striker born in 2023 affirmed his role as a pillar of the attack. Since 2024, Vi Hao's career has been on the rise, when he was highly regarded by coach Kim Sang-sik in the Vietnam national team.
Throughout the 2024 ASEAN Cup campaign, Vi Hao has always been coach Kim Sang-sik's priority choice to pair with Tien Linh or Nguyen Xuan Son. Thanks to his good performance in the national team jersey, Vi Hao was honored in the category of Best Young Male Player at the 2024 Vietnam Golden Ball Awards Ceremony.
Besides Vi Hao, the injury of central defender Pham Ly Duc also attracted the attention of fans.
