The 3T principle of "heart - vision - talent" for Ho Chi Minh City youth
Sincerely, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc said that every young person should be proud to be a citizen of the city named after Uncle Ho, especially in the context of moving towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and the reunification of the country because it is not only an event of the city but also of the nation.
"To be worthy of that pride, every young person in the city needs to remind themselves to do everything with dedication. When doing things with heart and desire, the results will be high," said Mr. Duoc.
The head of the city government said that today's young generation of the city is well educated and trained, but they need to avoid biased views. Therefore, they should learn to become adults before becoming talented.
Explaining, Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc said that it is not necessary to have outstanding talent, but if each person works with all their dedication, the work efficiency achieved will gradually elevate us.
Assessing that the city's youth have many conditions for development and are intelligent and dynamic, they must proactively advise and propose appropriate things to serve the needs of youth development, which is also a contribution to the city's development, "don't just wait all the time".
But along with the proposal, the Chairman of the City People's Committee said that we must boldly propose solutions on what to do and how to do it. Don't speak in general terms, it won't get us anywhere!
At the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, head of the Ho Chi Minh City Young Scientists Club, said that there are many problems related to the city's infrastructure and traffic that need to be solved and that young people can participate in.
"There should be a mechanism for direct ordering from departments, city leaders and a team of young scientists to jointly solve the city's urgent problems," said Dr. Binh.
Dr. Binh is concerned that the current machinery and equipment systems of the units can only handle small research projects that are difficult to break through, and hopes that the city will invest in and build an artificial intelligence center with a machinery system that is capable of researching and implementing large projects worthy of the city.
A representative of the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City said that the city has many policies and has calculated to increase investment in science and technology development, currently 5G technology and anticipating the upcoming 6G.
Young people must have big ambitions, think big, do big, and not stay in the village pond. The great aspiration to help the country rise will create motivation and great internal resources for each of us. Each of you must determine to study to serve yourself before contributing to the development of the city, firmly entering the era of national rise.
Mr. NGUYEN VAN DUOC (Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee)

Mr. Nguyen Minh Kha, Can Gio District Youth Union, hopes that the early construction of Can Gio bridge as well as the projects of ecological urban areas reclaiming the sea, and the metro to Can Gio starting quickly will contribute to improving the quality of life for the people.
Doctor Nguyen Truc Phuong, Tan Phu District Hospital, earnestly hopes that the city will have better policies to retain young doctors and nurses at the facility. "It is especially necessary to support young doctors from other places to work in the city, including support in buying housing because current conditions and income are very difficult to attract," Doctor Phuong expressed.
These statements were all discussed by representatives of departments and agencies to help you better understand what the city has been doing to support young workers. Regarding housing, Mr. Duoc said that in reality, there are many high-end housing segments while the demand for buying from people with low incomes is quite high but the housing fund is small.
"The city is researching the establishment of a suitable housing fund, and calling for private investment. The projects will reserve about 20% of the housing fund for civil servants, young people, scientists... Hopefully these policies are a good signal to retain talented people," said Mr. Duoc.
Loving the country is loving the people, loving the city
The head of the Ho Chi Minh City government talked about the meeting, listening to each other openly and sincerely. He said the Youth Union needs to do better in educating ideals, and needs more solutions to attract the majority of young people outside the organization because young people are one of the special resources of the city.
How to educate young people to have ambition and aspiration because if there is not enough aspiration, they will just do the work to get it done, and the efficiency will not be high. "Patriotism must mean loving the people, loving the city. Being proud of the city is not just talking about it to brag, but requires action, having the responsibility to continue the previous generation", Mr. Duoc sincerely said.
Boldly assign work to young people
Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union Ngo Minh Hai affirmed at the meeting that the city's youth are always ready to take responsibility before the city's leaders and are always highly aware of contributing to building and developing the city.
Chairman Nguyen Van Duoc suggested that the city's political system must treat young people in accordance with their role and position as "the pillars of the country". He said that Party committees and government leaders need to pay attention, boldly assign work to young people and "must really care, not just care for the sake of it".
"Immediately after this conference, the departments and branches will collect all the youth's recommendations so that the City People's Committee leaders can forward them to relevant parties to promptly resolve them for the youth," Mr. Duoc noted.
