Attending the event were Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet; Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Tri Thanh; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Nguyen Thi Thu Lan; Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department Huynh Thi Thuy Dung; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Cong Thanh; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu along with many Tam Ky residents and tourists.

In his opening speech, Vice Chairman of Tam Ky City People's Committee Tran Trung Hau emphasized that the festival "Tam Ky - Sua Flower Season 2024" will take place from April 5 to April 7 in Huong Tra village, with many unique cultural, sports and tourism activities, promising to bring delegates and visitors many attractive and unforgettable experiences and preserve their beautiful images and feelings when setting foot on this land.

This is an activity in response to the "National Biodiversity Recovery Year - Quang Nam 2024"; gradually building the city into an attractive tourist destination for domestic and foreign visitors, oriented to connect with neighboring areas to become the southern tourist center of the province.

“The government and people of Tam Ky in general, and Hoa Huong ward in particular, have been and will continue to work together to build Huong Tra eco-village into an attractive tourist destination, focusing on investing in suitable infrastructure, promoting potential and endogenous resources to successfully build Huong Tra destination associated with the brand “Tam Ky - City of yellow sua flowers”; strengthening conservation and development work according to the trend of “Village in the city” so that tourists from all over the country can know and follow”, said Mr. Hau.

This morning, April 5, a group of 9 Dalbergia tomentosa trees (Acacia auriculiformis) in Huong Tra eco-village was awarded a Certificate of Recognition as a Vietnamese Heritage Tree by the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment.

Congratulating and welcoming Tam Ky City for its efforts in organizing the festival, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu said that it contributed significantly to the effective, fast and sustainable socio-economic development of the province and city.

Regarding the tasks in the coming time, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee suggested that Tam Ky focus on building a green, friendly and safe tourism environment; maximize potential and advantages, promote development linkages, and turn Tam Ky into the southern tourism core of the province.

Right after the opening ceremony was the semi-final round of the “Miss Vietnam of the Era Season 2” contest. With 42 contestants participating, this contest aims to honor the intellectual beauty, talent, confidence and dynamism of young women in the integration period while still preserving and promoting the traditional beauty of Vietnamese women.
