From July 1, the salary of senior doctors and senior preventive medicine doctors of the highest level, grade I, will be 14.4 million VND, an increase of nearly 2.5 million compared to before.

Currently, the doctor's salary table (salary arrangement) is regulated in Joint Circular 10/2015/TTLT-BYT-BNV.
- The professional title of senior doctor (grade I), the professional title of senior preventive medicine doctor (grade I) is applied with the salary coefficient of civil servants of type A3 (group A3.1), from salary coefficient 6.20 to salary coefficient 8.00
- The professional title of chief physician (grade II), the professional title of chief preventive medicine physician (grade II) is applied with the salary coefficient of civil servants of type A2 (group A2.1), from salary coefficient 4.40 to salary coefficient 6.78.
- The professional title of doctor (grade III), the professional title of preventive medicine doctor (grade III) is applied with the salary coefficient of civil servants type A1, from salary coefficient 2.34 to salary coefficient 4.98.
- The medical professional title is applied to the salary coefficient of type B civil servants, from salary coefficient 1.86 to salary coefficient 4.06.
From today (July 1), when the new basic salary is applied, increasing from 1.49 million VND to 1.8 million VND, the salary table of doctors will also change. Specifically:

Doctors are workers
If the doctor is the one who signs a labor contract with a medical facility, whether public or private, the salary and allowance regime will be implemented according to the agreement specifically stated in the labor contract. Despite the agreement, the doctor's salary must not be lower than the regional minimum wage in Decree 38/2022/ND-CP:
