The SignbySign project is designed to convert sign language into text or speech, making communication more convenient for both users and listeners. More than just a support tool, the project is also a bridge to help deaf people integrate into the community more easily and confidently.
Two teams from Hanoi Medical University (left) and University of Technology reported on the project summary in the form of a presentation combined with dramatization.
In the final round, the organizers asked 3 questions to help everyone understand the teams better, and the teams will also share their views on generation Z.
In this round, the University of Foreign Languages has chosen question number 3. Accordingly, the life of Gen Z is associated with the breakthrough of freedom in the flat world. At the same time, young people are also the generation that inherits the achievements and good traditions that our ancestors built, exchanging with blood and sweat. So, in your opinion, how is the patriotism and love for the Vietnamese people of the new generation full of freedom and openness expressed in New Generation Students 2024?
Giving her argument in 30 seconds, the female student from the University of Foreign Languages said that she is proud to be the Gen Z generation with her own missions to contribute to the new development in the new era. And, patriotism is a feeling that is always latent in all of us, not just the young generation. Patriotism comes from the smallest actions such as studying, practicing, and spreading positive values.
"And, when we act together, spread positive values together, we will certainly create great value for the community. In the New Generation Student program, there are many projects on history, psychology... that show the great love of our generation. We hope that everyone will join us in creating a Gen Z generation that is brave, dares to think, dares to do, loves themselves, loves everyone and has love for the country," the female student expressed.
Hanoi Medical University participated in the final round with the Tellme project, a psychological counseling platform specifically for patients' relatives, which is being piloted at Tan Trieu K Hospital (Thanh Tri District, Hanoi). This is an initiative to support the mental health of caregivers, who often have to bear the stress and anxiety during the treatment of their loved ones.
As for the Polytechnic University, the Aloi project is considered a breakthrough with its food wrap made from aloe vera. The project's goal is to develop a safe and natural food preservation solution, replacing traditional plastic and nylon products, contributing to reducing plastic waste.
The two teams of Hanoi Medical University and University of Technology won the same prize worth 50 million VND and a commemorative medal of the New Generation Student 2024 program.
