TPO - The University of Foreign Languages (Vietnam National University, Hanoi ) announced the admission scores ranging from 26.75 to 38.45 on a 40-point scale (foreign language score multiplied by 2). Accordingly, the English Language Teaching major continues to lead, increasing by 1.24 points compared to last year (from 37.21 to 38.45).
The majors with cutoff scores of 37 or higher include Chinese Language Pedagogy, Japanese Language Pedagogy, Korean Language Pedagogy, and Chinese Language. Among these, Chinese Language Pedagogy saw a significant increase, with its cutoff score rising by 1.95 points to 37.85.
The third highest cutoff score was for Korean Language Pedagogy at 37.31. Economics and Finance (international joint training program with a foreign degree) had the lowest cutoff score at 26.75 points.
The admission scores for various majors at the University of Foreign Languages in 2024 are as follows:
The admission score is the sum of the scores of the three exams in the subject combination used for admission consideration (foreign language subject is weighted with a coefficient of 2) and priority points (if any). Priority points for candidates achieving a total score of 30 (on a 40-point scale) or higher are determined according to the following formula:
Priority points (on a 40-point scale) = [(40 - Total points achieved)/10] x Priority point level
Admission score = Score of subject 1 + Score of subject 2 + Score of Foreign Language x 2 + (Priority points (on a 40-point scale)/3 x 4)
In the event that candidates have the same admission score at the end of the list, if the number of admitted students still exceeds the quota, the school will prioritize candidates with higher order of preference (preference 1 being the highest priority).
