Hanoi University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Vietnam National University, has just announced the benchmark scores and list of candidates admitted early by various methods.
With the method of combining high school graduation exam scores with international English certificates, 75 candidates were admitted early.
Of these, 23 candidates were admitted early to the medical major, all of whom had IELTS certificates of 8.0 or higher. The admission scores based on the combination converted to a 30-point scale ranged from 26.1 to 28.7.
There are 7 candidates admitted early to the dental - maxillofacial department, 6 candidates to medical testing technology, 5 candidates to medical imaging technology, 29 candidates to pharmacy, 6 candidates to nursing.
In addition, the school announced the early admission benchmark based on the 2024 competency assessment test scores organized by Hanoi National University. The benchmark scores converted to a 30-point scale range from 16.65 to 20.60 points, with the highest benchmark score being for medicine and the lowest for nursing.
Pharmacy and dentistry both get 20 points; medical testing techniques 18.65; medical imaging techniques 17 points.
A total of 336 candidates were admitted based on their ability assessment test scores.
In addition, the school also announced the list of 16 candidates admitted early under the priority admission policy, 15 candidates admitted early under the special admission mechanism of Hanoi National University and 2 candidates admitted early under the university preparatory program.
Thus, with the 5 early admission methods above, a total of 444 candidates were admitted early to the University of Medicine and Pharmacy.
This year, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy recruits 640 students for the fields of medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, medical laboratory technology, medical imaging technology and nursing.
The school reserves 35% of its quota for the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, 35% of its quota for considering Hanoi National University's competency assessment exam scores, and 6% of its quota for considering international English certificates.
In addition, the school conducts direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the specific mechanism of Hanoi National University.
In the 2024-2025 school year, the expected tuition fee for full-time medical students is about 55 million VND/year, for pharmacy students is about 51 million VND/year, and for other majors is about 27.6 million VND/year.
