Groundbreaking ceremony for industrial park worth over 1,800 billion VND in Van Phong Economic Zone

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh said that the establishment of Doc Da Trang Industrial Park contributed to accelerating the industrialization and modernization process of Khanh Hoa province, adding momentum for the strong development of Van Phong Economic Zone.

"The project's groundbreaking today demonstrates the strong determination of Khanh Hoa province, ministries, departments, and sectors, and the investor's efforts in implementing the industrial development strategies of the country, region, and Khanh Hoa province," said Mr. Chinh.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that the industrial park must be a smart, modern and sustainable industrial park, forming industrial, innovation, urban and high-tech service ecosystems, ensuring harmonious development with the community, infrastructure and knowledge-based economic development for the locality.

The Deputy Prime Minister asked investors to continue to promote available resources, focus on investment and construction to soon put the project into operation. At the same time, he asked the Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee and relevant ministries and branches to be responsible for supporting investors to complete the project.

Doc Da Trang Industrial Park, located in Van Phong Economic Zone (in Van Hung commune, Van Ninh district and Ninh Tho commune, Ninh Hoa town), invested by Viglacera Yen My Industrial Park Development Joint Stock Company.

The project has a scale of nearly 288 hectares, of which more than 204 hectares is industrial production land and warehouses with a maximum construction density of 70% and a maximum height of 5 floors.

4.2 hectares is a service area including commercial, medical, sports facilities, worker accommodation, product display area...

According to Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Doc Da Trang Industrial Park has a total investment of VND1,807 billion, expected to operate for 50 years, attracting about 16,000 workers.

The industries targeted for attraction include clean industries, processing industries, high-tech manufacturing, precision mechanics, electronics, industrial support, warehousing, etc.
