Australian drug lord Alen Moradian was shot dead by two unidentified men in a car in an underground car park in eastern Sydney.
A shooting this morning in an underground car park on Spring Street, Bondi Junction, left Alen Moradian, a key player in Sydney's cocaine trade, dead.
New South Wales (NSW) police believe two gunmen were involved in the murder. "This appears to be an organised murder. Alen was a notorious drug dealer and it is clear he was targeted in a murder plot," said Chief Inspector Danny Doherty.

Moradian, 48, has been dubbed Australia's "Tony Soprano". He was sentenced to 16 years and nine months in prison in 2010 for importing and distributing large quantities of cocaine. Inspector Doherty said Alen was also involved with the New South Wales Comanchero bikie gang.
Minutes after Alen was shot dead, firefighters were called to reports of two vehicle fires nearby, a Porsche on James Street and a Holden Commodore in Cook Land. Witnesses reported hearing “loud bangs” as the cars went up in flames.
NSW Police believe two car fires are linked to the shooting on Spring Street. Authorities closed several roads for several hours and urged people to avoid the area.
"This was a violent public crime. New South Wales Police will investigate and thoroughly handle this case," Premier Chris Minns said, pledging to "mobilize the entire force of law enforcement to identify the suspects involved."

Australia is one of the "lucrative" markets for transnational drug trafficking lines. In the period 2019-2020, this country confiscated about 39 tons of drugs, arresting more than 166,000 suspects.
