Exhibition 'Downstreaming the Autumn River 2025' raises funds to build houses for the poor in Central Vietnam

"The exhibition 'Downstreaming the Autumn River 2025' is a gathering place for artworks from artists who not only possess creative talent but also have a compassionate heart, ready to accompany charity activities," said curator Ngo Kim Khoi.

On the afternoon of March 27, at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum (Hanoi), the charity exhibition Down the River Thu 2025 took place, gathering talented artists: Dang Duong Bang, Nguyen Minh, Vu Muoi, Nguyen The Dung, Doan Quoc, Tran Thao Hien, Tran Thi Huyen Thanh, Nguy Dinh Ha, Le Duc Tung, Hai Kien, Le Thu, Bao Huynh.... The exhibition aims to raise funds to build houses for the poor in the Central region. This is an initiative of the Sow House, Reap House Fund, under the curation of art researcher Ngo Kim Khoi.

Meeting place of talented artists

Artist Vu Thai Binh brings the work Dry Season on the Stone Plateau, depicting the majestic beauty of the Northwest mountains through watercolors, reviving the strength and pristine nature.

Painter Ho Hung's watercolor painting Neighbors depicts the simple beauty of Vietnamese villages, through familiar images such as walls or banana leaves.

Painter Hung Ro (Nguyen Manh Hung) with Silent Autumn evokes contemplation about nature and deep emotions.

If Mai Duy Minh's Untitled (black and white) is a unique and rare abstract work, kept in a family collection and never widely exhibited, then painter Bui Van Tuat's Mustard Flower Season highlights the rustic and profound beauty of ethnic people.

Artist Bui Tien Tuan brings the work Tu Tinh , depicting a girl sitting with her hair pinned, exuding the mysterious beauty of Vietnamese women...

The work Waiting for Mom to Come Back by artist Doan Duc Hung depicts strong emotions about family and love. Or Em Hanh - author Thanh Tuan brings the image of a graceful, gentle woman in a poetic space. Artist Dang Tien gently creates the work Still Life Flowers , showing the liveliness and sharpness in each stroke, with a strong, emotional and attractive expressive style.

Minh Pho's work Giao Mua with its unique and liberal style, combining realism and abstraction, expresses the beauty of nature and people, carrying a profound message about life. Painter Khong Do Duy's painting "Let Xua" is an interesting combination of form and content, taking viewers on a journey of discovery about themselves and the world around them. Mai Xuan Oanh's work "Ngay Nang" brings the sophistication and romance of the beauty of nature and people of Vietnam.

According to artist Ngo Tran Vu - founder of the Sow House, Reap House Fund: "The works participating in the exhibition will be auctioned online, 70% of the value of the paintings sold will be used to build 10 solid houses for the poor in Quang Nam and Hue. The fundraising goal is 500 million VND, contributing to helping change the lives of families living in temporary houses, not having enough conditions for a stable living."

The Downstream Autumn River 2025 Exhibition runs until March 31.
