Deploying inspection tasks for the second quarter

On the afternoon of April 8, the Provincial Inspectorate held a conference to review the inspection work of the first quarter and deploy tasks for the second quarter of 2024. Comrade Vu Gia Long, member of the Provincial Party Committee and Chief Inspector of the province chaired the conference. Attending the conference were leaders of the inspection departments of districts, cities, departments and branches.

In the first quarter of 2024, the provincial Inspectorate closely followed the leadership and direction of local Party committees and authorities, the direction of work and expertise of the Government Inspectorate, focused on performing inspection tasks, receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations, preventing and combating corruption and building the sector to achieve positive results.

The development of a plan to implement the inspection program was focused on, and the inspections were in accordance with the plan. The entire industry carried out 17 administrative inspections; issued 9 inspection conclusions at 12 units.

Through inspection, violations of 576 million VND were discovered; recommendations were made to recover more than 500 million VND, and to clarify the responsibilities of 8 groups and 9 individuals.

The inspection sector has conducted 36 specialized inspections in areas such as: basic construction investment; printing, photocopying, publishing business; compliance with regulations on disease prevention and control.

Thereby handling many violations of the law, at the same time recommending to rectify and overcome shortcomings and loopholes in management, in the promulgation of policies and laws.

Post-inspection supervision and handling have been enhanced, so inspection conclusions have been better implemented.

The work of receiving citizens, resolving complaints and denunciations of citizens has been focused on, closely and resolutely led and directed. Sectors and levels have paid attention to implementing inspection, review and resolution of pending, complicated and prolonged cases and achieved positive results.

Strengthen practical experience drawing, direction, guidance, inspection and close coordination with sectors and levels to effectively carry out the work of receiving people, handling petitions, resolving complaints and denunciations, contributing to stabilizing political and social security in the area.

The work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity continues to receive attention from leaders and direction, identifying this as a regular key task of Party committees at all levels, heads of agencies and units. The Provincial People's Committee has promptly developed programs, plans, and documents directing all levels, sectors, and heads of units to implement preventive solutions, detect and identify signs of negativity and corruption in each sector, agency, and unit, promoting a sense of responsibility in management; inspecting, checking, and controlling the situation to prevent, detect, and strictly handle according to the provisions of law.

Thereby creating positive changes in awareness and action in corruption prevention and control work in the province, contributing to the good implementation of local socio-economic development tasks.

At the conference, delegates discussed and clarified the results achieved in the first quarter of 2024, analyzed the causes of shortcomings and limitations, and proposed and agreed on a number of tasks and solutions to effectively implement all aspects of work in the second quarter of 2024.

Focusing on solutions to improve the quality of administrative inspections, specialized inspections, citizen reception, and handling of complaints and denunciations; regularly organizing training courses to improve the professional qualifications of inspection staff.

The specific tasks are: Strengthening the Party's leadership in the work of receiving citizens, resolving complaints and denunciations. Effectively maintaining the Provincial Working Group on receiving citizens, handling and resolving situations where citizens make complaints beyond their level.

Effectively implement citizen reception work according to regulations. Improve the quality of inspection and examination work; responsibility of leaders at all levels and sectors in implementing legal regulations on citizen reception, handling complaints and denunciations.

Regularly and closely coordinate with central agencies to receive and handle complaints beyond the level of authority and with many people; focus on advising on resolving outstanding complaints and denunciations.
Implement well the work of preventing and combating corruption and negativity. Focus on directing the strict implementation of asset and income declaration; the publicity and transparency of the activities of agencies and units.

Strictly implement the 2024 working theme of the Provincial Party Executive Committee "Maintaining discipline, enhancing responsibility, innovation, creativity, and real efficiency".

Concluding the conference, the leader of the Provincial Inspectorate reminded inspectors to do better in detecting corruption and negativity within agencies and units.
