Awarding 12 Vietnam Digital Content Creation Awards 2024

The program honored 12 organizations and individuals in 8 award categories who are outstanding individuals and units with digital content products that positively contribute to the community.

This is an annual award organized by the Vietnam Digital Communications Association (VDCA) and managed by the Vietnam Digital Content Creation Alliance (DCCA). VCA 2024 attracted nearly 300 entries from a variety of fields and participants. After 3 preliminary, preliminary and final rounds, the Organizing Committee selected and awarded honorary prizes including Cups and Certificates to 12 organizations and individuals. 29 organizations and individuals nominated for the Final Round were awarded certificates.

Chairman of the Vietnam Digital Communications Association Nguyen Minh Hong, Head of the Organizing Committee, shared: "For the second time, VCA has received an increasingly strong response from the community of Vietnamese digital content creators. This has affirmed the mission and goal of the Award, which is to contribute to promoting the development of the digital content industry, creating inspiration for the strong development of the community of digital content creators, developing many Vietnamese digital content products to reach out to the world, contributing high values ​​to the Vietnamese digital economy."

As an industry, digital content contributes not only to the technology sector but also to the cultural industry. This award, as well as the development of the digital content industry, will facilitate the creation and development of the cultural industry.

"We hope to raise the level of the award in the future to not only promote the economic sector but also contribute to the development of education, culture and arts, and the entire socio-economic development of the country," said Dr. Nguyen Minh Hong.

In its second year, the VCA 2024 Awards have made many changes to the rules and added the Inspirational Digital Content Creator category. The "Inspirational Digital Content Creator" award is considered and selected by the Organizing Committee based on the number of votes from the community combined with the award criteria. In addition, the form of presentation has also been expanded to two categories: Outstanding Video/Short Film and Outstanding Video/Animation, opening up more opportunities for creators to participate in the competition.

Channel owner Hoang Nam Tien received the VCA 2024 award in the category "Digital content creator for the community".

Associate Professor Dr. Do Lenh Hung Tu - Chairman of the Preliminary Council, Chairman of the Vietnam Cinema Association said: "It is easy to see that the entries to this year's award have developed in both quantity and quality. We see the creativity and passion for each topic that the authors pursue. Besides, we also see the clear influence of the award in the digital content creation community in Vietnam."

Chairman of the Final Jury, Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan - Chairman of the Vietnam Cinema Promotion and Development Association also shared: "This year we saw many high-quality products with stronger influence, that's why the final jury had to discuss very carefully to choose the most worthy works and authors."

In particular, VCA 2024 received enthusiastic response from the animation industry when the number of applications for these categories accounted for nearly 30% of the total 300 applications. Having worked in the animation industry for many years, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Ha - Head of the scriptwriting department of Vietnam Animation Studio commented: "I was very surprised that this year there were many animation scriptwriters participating and the quality was very good, the scripts for short films or movies were all impressive. In addition, there were also a large number of animated character sets participating in the competition. That proves that animation is increasingly developing, going deeper into the community of digital content creators."

VCA 2024 honored and awarded 12 units and individuals including: Cups and Certificates from the Organizing Committee. In particular, 3 awards also received valuable gifts from sponsors. Accordingly, the two authors who won the award in the category of Outstanding Animation Script received gifts from two sponsors, Sconnect International Animation Training Academy and Sconnect Vietnam. Each award is worth 60 million VND, including: Cash worth 10 million VND and 1 Master Class 2025 Scholarship worth 50 million VND when attending the course at the Academy.

5. Excellent Video/Advertising Film: "The pillar, how dare you get tired - BOSS Coffee" - Production unit MAY Production.

6. Outstanding digital content product in the field of education: Building a digital handbook using artificial intelligence (AI) to support students in their career development - Production unit: VinUni University Library.

7. Outstanding Digital Content Creator: Shanghai Leadjoy Culture Communication Co., Ltd.

8. Digital content creator for the community: Hoang Nam Tien

9. Promising digital content creator: Nguyen Van Luu - owner of Lao Nong Vlog channel.
