The City People's Committee requires that enrollment work must ensure accuracy, publicity, and transparency; and must not exceed approved targets.
The subjects of admission are children/students (collectively referred to as students) who must be of the correct age according to regulations and according to the conditions agreed upon by the City People's Committee.
Timeline to note
From April 7 to June 6, 2025, schools in the area will widely announce the candidates for admission.
From June 9 to July 9, preschools and kindergartens will directly enroll students and issue and receive application forms for admission.
From June 9 to June 20, online enrollment for students in grades 1 and 6.
The City People's Committee noted that primary and secondary schools must recruit the right students; receive online application documents on the software; and not issue or accept paper applications during the online enrollment period.
From June 23 to July 9, direct enrollment (receiving students outside the universal education list due to missed surveys); finalizing data, posting and publicizing the list of enrolled students; issuing and receiving application documents for admission.
From July 10 to July 25, the Department of Education and Training approved the list of admitted students.
The application file includes the student's personal identification number and a copy of the birth certificate. For secondary school students, the primary school transcript or other documents that can replace the transcript must be attached.
Enrollment zoning and school network development data
In Tam Ky, the enrollment zoning is based on the practical conditions of the school and ensures the conditions for entering the school.
Le Hong Phong Secondary School recruits students in An My ward and in My Thach Tay, Dong Tra, Dong Yen, Tra Cai, My Thach Trung, Thuan Tra (Hoa Thuan ward), My Thach Tay (Tan Thanh ward) with 169 students.
Nguyen Du Secondary School enrolls about 7 classes with 320 students in the blocks of Phuong Hoa Nam, Phuong Hoa Dong, Phuong Hoa Tay (Hoa Thuan ward); Doan Trai, Hoa Nam, My Thach Bac, My Thach Dong, Truong Dong (Tan Thanh ward).
In the 2025-2026 school year, Tam Ky City has a total of 3,181 preschool children with 106 classes; 12,354 primary school students with 360 classes; 10,408 secondary school students with 248 classes.
Some schools have a large number of students such as Son Ca Kindergarten (18 classes, 529 children); 24/3 Kindergarten (12 classes, 360 children); Nguyen Van Troi Primary School (30 classes, 1,124 students), Vo Thi Sau Primary School (30 classes, 1,098 students); Tran Quoc Toan Primary School (30 classes, 1,065 students); Nguyen Du Secondary School (46 classes, 2,094 students); Ly Tu Trong Secondary School (34 classes, 1,516 students).
Determination of residence
In addition to recruiting students in the 2024 education universalization data and children outside the universalization data but confirmed by the People's Committee of the village (block), the People's Committee of the commune or ward to have actual and legal residence in the area, schools are not allowed to accept any subjects.
In cases where there is a need to study at the school, the school's admissions board will make a list and request the City Department of Education and Training to consider and advise the City People's Committee to decide.
Non-public kindergartens enroll students based on actual conditions; there is no division of enrollment areas.
Public kindergartens and preschools enroll students based on assigned facilities and staffing; enroll 100% of 5-year-old children residing in the area.
Primary and secondary schools give priority to recruiting 100% of qualified students in the assigned area to enroll in the first grade.
