Ho Chi Minh City considers disciplining many officials

Specifically, disciplinary action in the form of Warning was taken against the Party Cell of Ho Chi Minh City Biotechnology Center, term 2012 - 2015 and term 2015 - 2017.

The reason is that this Party Cell violated the Party's regulations in leadership, inspection and supervision of the implementation of political tasks, leading to the Center for Biotechnology issuing documents contrary to the law on project investment and bidding, causing serious consequences in the 2012-2015 term and very serious consequences in the 2015-2017 term; in which, Party members of the Party Cell violated the law to the extent that criminal liability must be prosecuted.

The City Party Committee's Inspection Commission also took disciplinary action by expelling Mr. Nguyen Van Tho - former Party Secretary, former Director of Central Psychiatric Hospital 2. Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Van Tho violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do; Party regulations and State laws on leadership, management and use of State assets in directing the signing of joint venture contracts, association contracts, and exploitation of land on the land belonging to the Psychological Counseling Center project and the project of renovating and repairing the Psychological Counseling House and guest house on the campus of Central Psychiatric Hospital 2, causing damage to State assets.

The City Party Committee's Inspection Commission also issued a warning to Mr. Doan Van Son - former member of the District Party Committee Standing Committee and former Vice Chairman of the Can Gio District People's Committee. Mr. Doan Van Son violated Party regulations and State laws in assigning tasks to subordinates and in deciding to temporarily hand over land to private enterprises, causing loss of State assets.

The City Party Committee's Inspection Committee proposed that the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee consider and take disciplinary action according to its authority against Mr. Dinh Minh Hiep - Party Secretary, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ho Chi Minh City, former Deputy Party Secretary, former Head of the Management Board of the High-Tech Agricultural Zone of Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. Hiep violated Party regulations and State laws in bidding for the project to purchase equipment for the laboratory system and environmental treatment, causing serious damage to State assets.

Mr. Doan Van Thu - former member of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, former Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Gio District, was also proposed for consideration and disciplinary action. Mr. Thu violated Party regulations and State laws in signing and issuing land use right certificates, causing legal consequences.

The Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Inspection Commission said that the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee has disciplined Mr. Nguyen Anh Thi - Party Secretary, Head of the Management Board of the Ho Chi Minh City High-Tech Park by removing him from all positions in the Party. Mr. Nguyen Anh Thi violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do; regulations on exemplary responsibility of cadres and party members, especially key leaders at all levels; and violated the Law on Marriage and Family.
