Summary of joint circular on legal aid in litigation activities

Pursuant to Joint Circular No. 10/2018/TTLT/BTP-BCA-BQP-BTC VKSNDTC-TANDTC dated June 29, 2018 of the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Finance, Supreme People's Procuracy and Supreme People's Court, every year, the council issues an action plan to implement inter-sectoral coordination on legal aid in litigation activities.

Based on the plan of the coordination council, the sectors that are members of the council issue plans to deploy coordination work on legal aid to the departments and units under their management for thorough dissemination and serious implementation. The leaders of the sectors pay attention to directing cadres, civil servants and units to seriously and effectively implement inter-sectoral coordination activities in legal aid work. The number of subjects who are detainees, prisoners, defendants and other parties eligible for legal aid who know, access and explain about the right to legal aid is increasing.

In 2025, the An Giang Provincial Inter-sectoral Coordination Council for Legal Aid in Litigation continues to implement the 2017 Law on Legal Aid and Joint Circular No. 10/2018/TTLT-BTP-BCA-BQP-BTC-TANDTC-VKSNDTC regulating coordination in the implementation of legal aid in litigation activities. Thoroughly grasp and disseminate the contents of the Law on Legal Aid and communicate about legal aid activities.
